Vintage Azedine Alaia Black Knit Dress Bodycon Fitted Knit Dress. This vintage Azzedine Alaia dress was a part of the iconic F/W 1986 runway collection. This show solidified Alaia's place in fashion history and dresses from this show have became some of the most collectible of his designs. This bodycon stretch black new wool knit dress has so many unique details that make it anything but an ordinary black dress! The dress has a ribbed knit fabric on the sleeves and below the waist, providing a nice contrast to the smooth knit fabric on the rest of the dress. There are defined corded seams that run under the bust and off the shoulders on the sleeves and we especially love the visible zipper in back! Zippers were an important element in this show and they were used in a variety of ways. I love vintage Alaia pieces and the Fall Winter 1986 collection is one of our favorites. You will love owning this important part of fashion history and you will find that it looks as modern today as it did in the 1980's! Pit to pit is flat is 17". length is 40" All tags present for authenticity as well as production date. Very slight signs of use I loved this dress.
