True to my style my closet is all over the place. At 40 I've merged pieces of my goth, punk, pinup,army&professional days into what I like to think is an eclectic & polished style. vivaware @ridinghood13 thanks so much. I look back at those older pictures, and remember feeling awkward and insecure. Wish we could all go back and tell our younger selves not to be so hard on ourselves! By the way I looked into ordering your book and found two places to purchase. Is there a retailer that gives you a better cut than another? I have your book on my medical leave reading list 😊

tncbeard @vivaware hi reading your story was cool, My husband was suppossed to be stationed at Ft Meade but we ended up at Ft Detrick Md, Ft Meade was an open post back then in 1985

tncbeard @vivaware I loved Maryland too we toured the White House it was amazing times I will never forget we have military all in our family was husbands dad flew in the movie the spirit of at Louis with Jimmy Stewart for the military in a Warner brothers film for Warner brothers studio as lead pilot in 1956 my uncle was in the Korean War and my brother in law is retired military my husbands a disabled veteran

vivaware @tncbeard what an amazing military history your family has. My stepfather's family had a long history. His father fought in Korea and didn't make it back, he served in Vietnam. I was glad I could help carry on the tradition for them. I hope that your husband is receiving the respect and care he deserves from the VA. It is so important to take care of those who sacrificed so much for our way of life.

vivaware @tncbeard it was closed. Since we were in a long training course (3 months) we were allowed to leave after the first month, but had a curfew and couldn't drive. We also had to stay in uniform the first two months so I don't remember the gates being much of a hassle. I was at Ft Huachuca and in Korea and both of those were more tightly controlled...I just realized all the bases I served on were closed. I had never thought about that.
