I love art, art history, literature, film, & all things spooky & macabre. I have studied the history & construction of fashion, & have worked in theater costume. My style leans to boho, goth, vintage & boots. I don't care much about brands; I just gravitate to what's artistic, unique & lovely. I'm a mom to an amazing son & 💜 and love my wonderful partner (who takes stuff to usps for me). We are on the east coast, so please be aware that shipping to the west of the Mississippi is often slow these days. We do have 2 cats, but I keep my most of my closet in a pet & light free room. Sometimes I I have an item listed in my personal closet that may have been more exposed to cat fuzz, etc.- I will usually put that info in my listing. Please read the info and my closet post regarding pets if you have pet allergies, Feel free to ask me if you have questions. I will try to keep up to date on my replies. Thanks!

veggigoddess I am loving the name Leander!!! Kind of sounds like a name I would have chosen if I had thought of it for my son, who I named Kaiden. I was adamant about having a unique name that was not particularly gender specific. I also love your eclectic tastes and style! It's refreshing! I as well do not give a crap about labels, just beautiful, fun, and sometimes artistic things. And I love vintage! Most my vintage is on Etsy.

leanderandhero @veggigoddess Aww! Thank you! He's a great kid (I guess most moms think that, haha). The name is from Greek mythology, which his dad & I enjoy. He came early & we hadn't decided on a name, so we had to scramble a bit to find a unique name we liked. It also means "lion man" or "lion's son", & I'm a Leo, so we went with it. I love the name Kaiden too! I've got friends who have a Kai, but I've never heard Kaiden. Beautiful!

veggigoddess @leanderandhero in general, so many label worshipers in life. I so cannot relate. People who spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on an item because of the label attached to it, I just can't even go there. It's so damn stupid, it's unbelievable. And most of what the purchase just because of the label attached was made in a sweatshop, just like the lower end stuff. And yes, veggigoddess is the name on my Etsy shop. I've been selling vintage on there since 2009.

I did notice one thing that may help (wish I'd known it sooner!); there is a category in brands to list under "Vintage". It may draw more attention from those who are searching for vintage specifically. I have a bunch of 90s stuff & I can't decide if it's really legit to put it as vintage, but yours definitely qualifies!

I never would've thought to list as 'Vintage' either if I hadn't noticed it on so many of the items I drool over. I hope it helps! Sometimes I see other closets with great, but unloved vintage and I wonder if I should mention it, but I don't want to be telling people their business?

leanderandhero @edekayfavething Probably not :-( The foundation I use isn’t being made any longer, and is very sheer & somewhat dewy. I’m pretty fair, & finding pale shades can be tricky. I saw yours & thought it might work.

Just looking at your son and his smile is with his dad you just know that you’ve done something spectacular. My parents visited the blue ridge mountains from Miami and they loved it.
