sweetwoodruff Hi Katherine, I'm glad you like the bag. I'm so sorry about the smell. We have a wood stove and it smoked a couple of times when it wasn't lit but I didn't think it was enough to make a difference. We have two young kids and don't smoke so rest assured it's wood smoke. Otherwise enjoy the bag. An open box of baking soda in a closed bin works magic for leather! Thank you for bringing this to my attention. All the best.
