Antique pearl & diamond bar brooch in 14K white gold

A classic and understated little piece of luxury! Measuring 2-1/4 inches, this brooch features an 8mm genuine pearl in a finely etched setting, flanked by tiny diamonds, at its centre. The clasp is marked 14K and there is another mark on the back of the bar. It might be a maker's mark or perhaps an indication of the diamond size (i.e. 0.05 carats). The pearl seems perfect, while there are teeny scratches on the bar, barely visible and to be expected due to age. This piece is from a friend's collection and is at least 50 years old, but could be considerably older. (t)
