Vintage 70’s La Mendola Dress

This absolutely stunning dress by designer Mike La Mendola is available. Classic Roman cut- these dresses are beautifully designed to flatter a woman’s body and it feels amazing on. Use the twilly as a belt or a scarf to complement this dress. This is a collectors piece from the 70’s. Size 44. I am wearing it in the photos- I wear size 8-10 and am 5’8”. One photo is an example of some other La Mendola dresses that are listed on different sites. I don’t see any listed here- they’re rare. La Mendola was started by Americans Mike La Mendola and Jack Savage. They met in Rome in 1960 while working together on a movie. They decided to open their own dressmaking and retail establishment in Rome. For several years they worked out of the back of a beauty salon, but slowly their business became a shopping destination. By 1967 they had a shop at the top of the Spanish Steps and were holding fashion shows. They had a celebrity clientele that included Elizabeth Taylor and Rita Hayworth.
