oldmetcalfe Sorry only just saw your question. They don't have any defects. I just bought them online from a shoe store in Quebec. I thought they were soft like all my other pairs but these have a solid sole. Maybe cork. I waited to long and missed the return window. The blue ones are hard bottom too. I don't have wide feet and they are fine for me but I don't mind loose slippers.
