Carnelian Moon

Gorgeous Carnelian Moon carving is in near perfect condition with only a minor imperfection on the stone at the reverse. Placed down on a table its unnoticeable. Beautiful crisp top banding and a small amount at the bottom of the moon shape only add to this piece. Measures: 1-5/8" Long x 1-1/8" (to center from back) x 1/4" at thickest part. Piece is deep read color, however, light changes in my camera may make actual stone appeal either lighter or darker Carnelian has been used in ancient cultures for a variety of reasons. It is considered to be a stabilizing stone. The word itself comes from a Latin word meaning “flesh” or “yellowish red”, which symbolizes bold energy and stimulation of the spirit. Questions?
