Sadly we are closing after almost 5 years as a 5-star Posh Ambassador. This decision wasn’t made lightly, but we don’t believe Poshmark supports its long-standing sellers. First, Poshmark repeatedly promotes the same brands and ignores others, for reasons never explained. Our boutique sells clothing from at least 10 well-known designers that haven’t been included in a party for 5+ years. The original Posh business model focused on community engagement. Now wealthier sellers (including designers like Free People) can buy sponsored placement for their listings, guaranteeing visibility and prominence that smaller sellers can no longer achieve through hard work. Poshmark seems to ignore legitimate seller feedback in buyer disputes, while allowing disreputable sellers to list counterfeit items and blatantly take transactions offline. Between sellers who cheat and short-term users that offer garage-sale pricing, competitive pricing that still yields a profit can seem impossible. The final straw for us was Poshmark granting a return request for a buyer who destroyed a NWT $138 item and lied about the damage. The bizarre stock response Poshmark Support sent 3 times in a row confirmed they never reviewed the documentation and photos we provided. Over the coming weeks we are ramping up on Mercari and eBay. We hope our feedback to Poshmark improves the experience for the sellers who stay: there are so many thoughtful, fabulous people here, and we wish you the very best.🥰😘
