Hi! I'm Laurie. Thanks for stopping by! I am pretty much a jeans and tee shirt girl but always love to play dress up. We live on 55 acres in northern Alabama with our dogs, cat, guineas, and chickens. Goats and sheep are the next additions to our little farm. I have two teenagers and have been married for over 17 years.

teamtandy @slewis234 Hey Shelley! Thanks for stopping by. Yes I am an Army vet. Met my husband there and got out after my daughter was born after six years peacetime service. How about you? It is fun to meet other poshers and hear about their lives. I am originally from Rowlett, TX and my daughter was born at Fort Hood but I'm not familiar with Georgetown. Went to college in Huntsville.

slewis234 @teamtandy omg girl you weren't far from me maybe a 45 min drive south on ih 35 toward austin. It's such a small world. I went in the Navy in 1981 and got out in 1989. It was a great time. I too had children in 84 and 85 two sons! They are grown now but we often talk about my navy days. My husband was navy as well but he decided he didn't want to be a daddy anymore and left in 87. I came back to Texas after I got out. I wish I had stayed in

slewis234 @teamtandy to retire. That's my only regret I guess. I'm married again to an army vet who was my high school sweetheart before I left to go to college. I went to Sam Houston as well! Isn't that funny! It's a great school and I loved the area but at that time I was still looking for what I wanted to do so that's when I went in the navy. I love military people. I think you have a whole different regard for this country and who and what made it great.

slewis234 @teamtandy I could really get off on a long conversation about that! I do love this country but I enjoyed seeing all the other countries as well. It made me proud to see your photo on your page with the flag. I love meeting other vets here. I've only met two so far so you are the third. Maybe we should start a share group here for sellers who are vets or military families. That would be cool. How long have you been here. I've been here since last september.

slewis234 @teamtandy I've done OK but I'm service connected disabled and not walking and standing so I have a really hard time getting my pictures done and doing new listings. I can photo about 5 or 6 things and I have to go rest. So it's a slow process for me! I need to find someone to help me but that would cost money I don't have! Maybe you've got some suggestions. I hope I haven't talked your ear off. I'm sorry! I get long winded! It's nice to hear back from you. Shelley

teamtandy @slewis234 We have been in Alabama for the past year to be near my husband's family and partner in a start up business. Have promised the kids we will stay here through high school (7th and 8th grades now).

teamtandy @slewis234 Do you have any friends or family that would like to sell items on PM? Maybe they could just add to your closet and in turn help you take the photos? I'm actually impressed you can get 5-6 done in a day. I barely get that many done with dealing with lighting, styling ideas, and all the distractions that come from working out of the house!

teamtandy @slewis234 I love the idea of creating a meet up page for military Poshers and started to put one together. Just got distracted from it and never finished. The Spring is a busy time for me at our property with putting in a big garden and working outside. Plus we just built a bigger barn to house some small livestock my daughter wants to raise so still finishing that and fencing. Posh has kinda been put on the back burner.

I don't really do real elaborate settings for my photos because I just can't physically but I do try to at least do some borders etc. I wish I could make them look more professional but I've been mostly pleased with my sales so I guess that's what matters!!

I'm trying to get motivated to list a few things but am traveling Wednesday so don't have any time. I hope your sales pick up this week! I will be off and on here while I am away from home.

teamtandy @slewis234 good morning! Things are going good here! I start a new job on Thursday which means I'll have to slow down on here a lot. Just part time to start but I haven't worked a regular job in years so a lot of adjustments will go with that. I'm glad to hear you've gotten some sales. I know every little bit helps. I was happy to sell a bundle last night and a couple of things over the weekend.

This is my first spring doing PM and I have had to slow down a lot with all the work around the farm. Also got a new job (YAY) that I love so far. It will be a flexible schedule once I get through training and most of my work will be done at home so I'll be able to work out some kind of schedule in a couple of weeks. I love your closet - soooooo cute!!!
