Daniele Ancarani black leather w red soles footbed sandals, EU41, NWT

If you're bored with your same old Birkenstocks, check out this sophisticated take on the classic footbed sandal by Daniele Ancarani. Made in Spain, this pair features wide, soft black leather cross straps across the toes and a buckled slingback, a ridged bright red rubber platform sole, and the footbed insole is wrapped in what feels like soft black suede embossed with shiny white stripes, but I believe it's actually faux suede fabric. The insoles do feel soft and wonderful on the foot, however, and with the bold red soles and black & white striped insole, this is an eye-catching pair that can elevate the style of whatever you're wearing, with all the comfort of a footbed sandal. Marked size EU41, they are sadly too big for me. The footbed measures slightly under 11", so these should fit at least a women's size 10.5, maybe 11. The width is a medium fit - cross straps on my size 9.5 feet feel comfortable, but I suspect if I'd gone down a size, I might have found them tight on my arch, as usual. Impossible to find anywhere now, these are a classic design that will never go out of style.
