Hi, are these black or brown leather? The listing mentions both.

@nac09 sorry about the confusion. I think the colour is technically called “slate”. To me, it looks like a very dark brown.

@hendervitch Ok thanks. The elastic is black or brown? Also how do you find these fit? I'm normally a size 6 with average width, low volume feet. I'm questioning whether these would be too wide.

I’d say the elastic is very dark brown as well.
Duckfeet are on the wider side, for sure. I have bunions which is why I usually like them. On the other hand, with the wool insoles I found them quite tight for me in the width. The thing that’s nice about an all-leather shoe is that it moulds to your foot over time, too. I would guess that if your foot is average with they would be fine. Certainly the length felt right for me (also a six normally).
