So here are some tips to sell, my best tips: 1) The biggest Posh crime is over selling your things. Nobody is buying used clothing for close to what you paid for it new or most times even half of what you paid new—ESPECIALLY kid clothing. The only time you’re going to get back half or over half of your money is with designer clothing/accessories the likes of which I’ll never own: Louis Vuitton, Coco Chanel etc.

2. The second biggest posh crime is underselling yourself. Posh vultures abound on this app, seeking to take advantage of sellers that don’t know any better or that are losing hope with selling so they continue marking their stuff down. Value your things. You paid for those things, the right buyer will come along eventually.

Tip 3: Try to be as customer-infatuated without losing money as possible. Take your time. Treat their new purchase like it’s not your refuse. Fold clothes and wrap things thoughtfully. Make them feel as though they just received new stuff. Trust me—this is the most appreciated detail. I’ve received boots that were thrown in a box with a single piece of tape and I’m shocked one wasn’t lost in the postal system because the box was delivered wide open. I was livid.

Tip 4: Try to be as personal with the thank you cards as you can be. This is MY secret to success. My customers have appreciated more than anything that I didn’t give them another generic thank you for your purchase, enjoy card. Find any way to establish that personal touch with them. They will be back and your ratings will stay on point.

Last tip promise: be as descriptive as you can possibly be with each & every listing! Those listings are your protection when a claim for a refund is filed. Sending out quality goods, there’s always those people that won’t be pleased no matter what. I even know sellers that take video as they pack to ship, to protect their interests with unhappy customers, customers with buyers’ remorse, and also the postal service. Protect yourself above all else. This is your reputation.
