Hi My name is Ally, above is me & my amazing hubby of 2 yrs. Aside from my recent posh obsession I work full time at Visionworks, love yoga, & spend the rest of my time with close friends and family. allyb1212 @jennyx you have a great closet !! And congrats on your success with posh !!! I know you said it was slow for you in the beginning and I expected that, but did you end up doing anything differently when you began selling your items? Such as how you edit your listings/pricing? I have been trying to share other closets as much as I can hoping that it helps and brings more followers. I have had luck with many followers for the short time I've been on here, and even a few shares, however no likes or inquiries. I know to give it time, just wanted to ask a successful fellow poser for any newbie tips 😄 Seems like all I do is purchase😫, and my hubby is not as ecstatic about posh as I am😉 lol ;) any feedback would be much appreciated :) xo

jennyx @allyb1212 - Hi ☺It looks like you're not "sharing" much & that's why it business is going extra slow for you. When you go into the "feed" you'll want to check out others closets & share their items to your followers feed. Then they'll look at your closet & "share" your items. This increases how many Poshers she your items & gets their followers possibly shopping your closet. I also recommend sharing your closet & other's closets at the parties, especially the evening parties. It can be time consuming but also fun. I get a lot of my ideas from other Poshers & it took me a awhile to figure out the parties & sharing too. If you look at my closet info at the top you can see how many times I've "shared" & then see how many times you have shared. I'm betting this is why it's still a bit slow for you. I hope this helps💕I share while I'm standing in lines or in waiting rooms & it works ☺

jennyx @allyb1212 - 😊It takes a while but looks like you've got more followers now. Sharing during the evening parties gets the most foot traffic too. Eventually more Poshers see your items & your feed as you share or update your closet, then you'll see more likes & hopefully sales! Later, I also had to drop prices on items I was reluctant to since most people are looking for a bargain. Look into others closets with similar brands or styles to what they've priced. Sometimes I get all bummed I let something go cheap but then I figure it was sitting in my closet or someone would've offered less at a garage sale or consignment store. I tried consignment stores but too many restrictions for seasons & brands. This is like a never ending bargain hunt! The lowest I personally go is $8 since that gets me $5, which is worth a post office trip & a coffee 💕

allyb1212 @jennyx just looking at your closet gives me inspiration!!! I know about consignments and have been to a "higher end" shop that offered ridiculously low offers on pieces that I payed alot for. So I never sold them because I would rather keep them or give them away to a friend who I know would love it !! (You have no idea how much I wish I wouldn't have given away lol!!) Now that I found this site I have a new found inspiration to make xtra $ by selling things i love but don't wear. (Or atleast try and pay off what I've already spent on posh😫😂) Thank you so much again for the help :) I noticed how many shares you have and how many sales as well !!! So whatever you are doing is obviously working !!!!!! I've only been on for a couple of weeks and love it already !! Ps. Was looking for a bundle and everything you have is sold 😂😂 I can't wait to see my 1st sale 😉

allyb1212 And yes I already thought about dropping prices in a month or 2 if slow, but I also considered the option of offering and figured I would take a cut regardless....and I also need to just let go of some things instead of holding onto and never wearing for the thought I found what if lol I know people want a bargain, we all do....so I need to reevaluate my pricing ;) I have been comparing and some things I have i need to drop ;)

I signed up in early 2013, and due to life circumstances I wasn't able to get started ( in the proper way) until a couple of months ago. After reading all of the comments , I have learned so much. Thanks for sharing all that! But, I now have a question for you: at the very end one of the other poshers talk about giving you a code or a number . What is that about & how can I 'sign up' for that? Please , I realize you r busy & if u have the time to answer me , that would be so nice. Otherwise , I can try to reread that part again to find out about who or how I sign up for this. allyb1212 @tallgirl14 Hi it's so nice to meet you :) I'm glad you were able to learn a few things from these comments as I sure have :) The # that you are referring to is a shared group that you an sign up for. There are several groups that yoy can join that share at certain times of day. That really helps with gaining more followers and more exposure to your closet :) I tried them when I first started however it is hard for me to commit for a certain time and day with my work schedule so I just share whenever I can. If you go to that persons closet that posted about the number they should have a page with all of the share group info :) Hope that helped :) And always happy to answer any questions that I can :) If you ever need anything you know where I am and I will be sure to share your closet :) ps. Glad you are back in posh commission ;) xo

Thank you for sharing it.❤ I too am enjoying the comfort of comfy clothes of late, nothing screams to you like pj bottoms and an oversized long sleeved t on a cold winters night.😍 That's what I could live in. I have the super soft red plaid men's sleep pants, I don't know what that fabric is , but is soft and fuzzy but not fuzzy. Lmbo Yep, makes you want to crawl in a pair right now huh!?! melcrowne You are most welcome! I'm a huge proponent on giving credit when credit is due. Those palazzo's are so beautiful in person!
