How to convert vintage measurements for modern sizing? First, instead of measuring your own body, find a similar garment that fits you well (in this case a dress, a top or a coat), lay it flat on a table and use a tape measure to find the following sizes: A: Shoulder to shoulder B: Bust (Pit to pit) C: Waist (narrowest part of garment) D: Hips E: Sleeves length F: Total length Double the results for the bust, waist and hips.
