Hannu Ikonen “Reindeer Moss” Belt Buckle, Finland, 1970s, Bronze

Hannu Ikonen (Finland) is best known for his modernist “Reindeer Moss” pieces, which were created in the 1970s. This belt buckle is a rare piece from the collection— I wasn’t able to find one like it elsewhere. The rich texture and form, rendered in bronze, would be a very eye-catching addition to any modernist wardrobe. Approximately 2.5” in diameter, and best suited for a slim belt.
