Huge Guy Vidal necklace, statement jewelry, Montreal 1960s

This is a fabulous brutalist pendant necklace signed by Montreal jewelry artist Guy (Gilles) Vidal. It is made of silver plated pewter, and is cast as an irregular circle with openings of different heights and textures. Signed on the reverse with a stylized GV, dating the piece to the 1960s. The pendant measures 2.5” in width by 3” in height. The chain is long and dramatic at 28” long. In excellent (even gift-giving!) condition.
