Hi! I'm Jen. I am a mom to three pups and two parrots, a former avian and exotic animal vet receptionist/nurse. My husband of almost 27 years and I lost our precious Gabby Goose (3.26.06 - 7.4.20). Gabby and my love for waterfowl are why I call my closet The Goose’s Treasures, and my username is from my late duck, Soprano (last picture). I am from NYC, and now live in the mountains of Virginia. I have loved animals and fashion since I was a little girl. Hiking and nature are my favorite hobbies, and my husband collects and restores antique cars. I had gastric bypass surgery 2 yrs ago after suffering from obesity due to PCOS and my addiction to food. I have lost over 190 pounds! Thank you for visiting my closet ❤️

I add things and/or sell things I share them until they are all in order. Sometimes I move around the sections - like I used to have sweaters first, now I have shoes first. I used pic collage - it’s a free app - to make the pink polka dot signs. And I got the dress form on eBay for $40. I use my dining room table a lot too. Your compliment made my day 😘🌺

If you need to drop it a little, I will. I’m glad you like them but they’re so darn expensive. They do last a while. I saw on YouTube that if one starts drying up you can add regular contact solution and it worked, it came back to life , lol. Let me know or counteroffer me

Hey, nice to meet you! I love the pups and boids.....lol...my friend Ash has an indoor duck named Walter and hes just the coolest creature. When he was little he kept pooping in the same place so she put a pooping box there and hes been using it for years. Hes very possessive of her, and hates her husband. Hes a white duck, I'll be honest I'm not up on my duck breeds. Thanks for following me! 🦆

One of our ducks was hatched from an egg in my 3rd grade class. She was special. We kept her indoors most of the time. We actually walked together in our Community Day parade (loved being a child of the 70’s)! Thanks so much for the memory!

@matana I used to work in an avian clinic and the vet rescued Maya. When the vet moved to Fl she had me keep Maya for several years while she got situated and then took her to Fl with her. Maya was a beauty but she was a bird that showed no body language - so she would often bite without any warning. But she is very loved ♥️

My Pionus, who BTW smell Amani g I want to sniff him all’s at, is more of a rescue so it took time to learn each other. He bites but not like he use to. Birds are amazing and I want to get some more. @matana Goose 😂 But as far as parrots go - that’s so hard!!!! I would say Amazon. I had a blue front Amazon who I absolutely adored. She passed suddenly several years ago and it killed me. I’ve had budgies, a cockatiel, a half moon conure too. Both my babies now are rescues. My macaw is a pistol - we can handle him some but very carefully. Our U2 used to LOVE ME but something happened and now she hates me 😢😢😢 I have no idea what happened and it breaks my heart. She was also a rescue.

@matana Umbrella cockatoo 😉 Having waterfowl as companions is amazing. They are so affectionate and smart. I adore all animals but I’ve never had a bod so strong with any other. I used to have a Pekin Duck but he passed in 2005 and we adopted Gabby in 06 and she was just 3 days old.

@matana No, I just have the one goose. We have a huge tub she swims in and bathes in and in the warm months she sunbathes on our deck with me. She is special needs - she has PDD, ‘macaw wasting disease’. She’s an indoor goose wearing a diaper. My duck did too. Believe it or not it’s a thing. Gabby is an amazing soul who just went thru a horrible flair up from her disease but is healing well now 🙏

@ibelieve362 Gabby lives in the house and wears a diaper harness when she’s out and about. She eats her meals and has ‘naked’ time in her playpens. She sleeps in bed with us but if she gets restless I’ll take her diaper off and let her sleep in her playpen. She is the BEST baby ever! She gets several baths a day in her garden tub and in the warmer months she lays out on our deck for some sun ♥️

@ibelieve362 She’s almost 14 and we adopted her when she was 3 days old. Sadly she has a terminal illness that sometimes we have to medicate and treat her for, but she is the happiest goose in the world ❤️

@ibelieve362 God has been monumental in her healing and living. He has been there when I was terrified of losing her, and he has been there healing her. When she was young and things were touch and go, every night I read a healing prayer over her. She was in remission for years until a few months ago. But God yet again has intervened and helped me find things to help her and she is doing very well. God is GREAT 🙏🏻♥️

I used to have a Pekin Duck before Gabby. He passed at only 4 with cancer 😢 It killed me. We don’t have kids so these guys are our kids ♥️

i have to comment your animals and yourself are beautiful my mother told me me my great grandmother had an indoor pet goose I have to ask how did your goose get so attached and how friendly are they actually I'm an animal lover but I've got very sick after I had my teacup Chihuahua for 12 human years she passed 3 yr ago

my mom helps me with everything do you know of any kind of fur babies I could get. that doesn't need a ton of exercise I'm able to take them out for bathroom breaks and exercise which my mom would help too ?? what kind of fur baby you think would be ok ? or am I being selfish

OMG....Thanks for all the shares !! I grew up on my grandparents farm and my Dad would bring home baby racoons and Badgers, ect so I always had a ton of pets of all kinds thru my years. Love them all . ...ALL lives matter That is my belief. Even those pack rats and skunks.

Hi there Jennifer. I put your box out for the post man today because I had a scheduled pick up. When I came back home the package was still there it’s 2:34 now and I’m not sure if they are going to come out today. I’ll leave it out a little longer. Please know I’m not being shifty lol. They make awesome companions ❤️❤️❤️ I happened onto it when I rescued a baby Pekin and we met a lady online who actually makes harnesses for their diapers! He passed in 2005, cancer 😢, and we adopted our Sebastopol goose, Gabby. My goose soul mate ❤️❤️❤️ She passed this past July and I’m lost without her. She was almost 15. Sadly she was born with a bad disease and it finally took her from me.

I want a dog badly, but I am frequently away and I would not be able to give them the attention they deserve. I have cats and we are perfect companions. 😺 I am sorry for your losses...losing a pet is horrible, especially since they are true innocents. I have lost 2 kitties, which still brings tears to my eyes.

@sopranoduck yes, I have family in Louisiana and my nieces had never seen snow until they came to visit us. They described how pple there acted when one winter they had flurries 😂 I personally could do without the white stuff, it causes such a mess! And it can get REALLY cold 🥶

Gabby was just 14 when she passed but she had a rare disease from birth. We were extremely blessed to have had her in our lives for 14 years ❤️ Ducks and geese are AWESOME!

@sopranoduck I’m so sorry gor ur loss my B&G macaw passed a month ago was around 12. Vet thinks she had a heart attack. Couldn’t figure her death out and I also had a cockatoo that passed around 10 years ago. I cleaned my carpets and used Oust as a refresher spray and it collapsed her lungs. Saddest day of my life. We had many conversations I’m like u like animals more than most people. .

something in San Diego they said there was radiation killing the birds ☹️☹️🥲like they were dropping out of the sky so said and a few days later my sister in law called and told us that our PIPI was at bottom of her cage passed away 😭She was the funniest bird I have ever encountered 😖💖💖💖💖💖She will be sooo missed and I’m sending my condolences on gabby maybe they are hangin out together lol

@rockintherack Awwww thank you sweetie!!! I’m so sorry about your Pipi 😓 It’s so sad. My animals are my children, and Gabby and I had a bond like a real mother and daughter because she was imprinted on me. Sadly she was born with a terrible disease that we knew was going to shorten her life 😓 But God allowed me 14.5 years with her. Losing her has been one of the hardest things ever ❤️
