We were about to move into a new house and I had all this stuff that didn't fit me after I had my youngest or that I had kept for years without using and I didn't have the heart to throw it away. Lo and behold I found posh lol. I love it. It's my part time job now on top of my "day job". How about you?

I’m hard on myself and tend to want to be where people are that have been doing this for years.. but I know I just need to trust the process haha. For now it’s just a fun hobby that I enjoy doing on the side :)

msking711 @kaelahthrifts As far as freaking, I've always done art: drawing, painting, writing, tattooing, etc. I'm just the artsy fartsy type lol. Framing I got into because my foster mom was an art framer and after I had my baby I needed to work somewhere with a flexible schedule that wasn't as high demand as my prior job. So I started working at the frame shop and now I can bring my daughter to work with me and be with her as she grows up. It's an awesome set up but man I'd it EXHAUSTING! lol

I can imagine it’s demanding but that’s great you have flexibility. Do you do your work for posh sporadically or have set times around your kids schedules?

msking711 @kaelahthrifts hahahaha it's so sporadic to be honest. I'm checking it all day long, trying to be active whenever I can. I do most of my photographing and listing between 6-9am and 7pm-12am because that's the space between when my older kids go to school and my youngest wakes up and then when I get home from the day job up until I go to sleep (if I'm losing at that time. So I suppose there is a schedule but it moreso feels like flying by the seat of my pants lol. You?

I'm super frustrated with sourcing in my area right now, I desperately need to find time to go out to Philly/the main line (better areas near me) to find better stuff but I'm working with what I can find for now. I just got some beautiful dresses the other day so I'm excited to list them :) I know people think I'm crazy for doing this with 4 kids but I can't imagine doing it with school! Good for you if you can pull that off! Don't be hard on yourself, it looks great!

msking711 @consciouscloths You are?! That's awesome! I'm in Nottingham (near West Chester kind of) I spend a lot of time in WC, Oxford, etc. & all of that is roughly an hour from Philly. I drive a lot so I'm not close in the sense of being 20 minutes away but I'm close in that I'm near there often & am willing to drive there lol. I just have a serious lack of time lol. Do you source out there or are you selling from your own closet?

I am pretty lucky in that regard - I would love a lighting kit but for now I’m making it work, I live in a big loft in the city with floor to ceiling windows so the light is ample (although on dreary days like today it’s dreary like it is outside lol). And I don’t really have room for a lighting kit anyways. 😝

msking711 @consciouscloths I definitely will! I really do try to make it work. It only really sucks on especially dark days (like today) because it can make the picture look kind of fake even though I don't edit the items at all (so they aren't misrepresented). But if I don't edit at all they're pretty orange lol. Some of my older pics make me cringe. I have the same issue with a lighting kit (NO space) but at this point it may be worth it to be cramped to have to not spend hours editing.

msking711 @consciouscloths As far as sourcing: in my area there's an ABUNDANCE of mall brands (express, banana republic, loft, etc.), a lot of stuff with no value (faded glory, Xhilaration, etc.) & then the occasional Free People, one Lululemon ever lol, & VERY RARELY some anthro. But on the flip side I also live within 45 minutes of at least 6-7 Goodwills, not to mention 2 GW outlets & other thrift stores so at least I have options. I just need to travel more 😬
