I started selling on Poshmark in May 2019. I love style over brand, mixing high and low, vintage, eclectic and current trends.
Everything in my closet is my own, or from a handful of family boutiques.

@cathyfrangos I haven’t figured out how NOT to kill myself. I didn’t realize the work that went into lighting and staging and photography. 🤪. Once I get enough pieces cleaned out and photographed, I think I will feel like I have a “completed” closet. I don’t know 🤷🏻♀️. Lol. @kmctbr I've been on this site quite a long time and my closet is NEVER finished. Takes a long time to learn that lesson. I realized I can't list everything in a day I usually go to my favorite hunting spots on Tuesday or Thursday when my friend can take me so usually every week I have at least a couple of things to post sometimes more.. quite difficult for me because I am physically handicapped and in a wheelchair most of the time.

@kmctbr if this helps here's my system. Go over your pieces carefully and just make a list them noting the brand the color the size the materials and the measurements. Next day take out your list and start doing research on pricing. Once you feel you have your pricing where you want it then the next day take your photos. The following day you're all ready to post without it being a hassle!

My husband had taken it to the post office late last night without me knowing, and I allowed the sale to be canceled when she asked, thinking it was still here!

I told her not to pack any clothes for her visit to see us at the end of the year- just fill her bags with genuine NZ sweaters and such so I can sell them in my store. 😂😂😂😂 I appreciate your kind words and Posh love so much. I personally don’t price drop that frequently; I generally use bundles to offer my biggest discounts and reductions, just so you know how I personally and generally work. @kmctbr sounds great. I visit my son and daughter in law, and my cute grandson. They live outside of Atlanta. They suggested I come every 3 months, in order to have a relationship with him. It hasn’t worked out this year, because of the visit to my mother in law. Next trip will be September for his 2nd birthday. I can’t wait 😊

I’m very excited about my 10k followers and had several sales last week, another tonight. But only 12$ on a necklace tonight. It was a lowball but I took it. Do you give yourself some time with accepting/declining an offer after you first post a new listing? For example if you post and on the same day you are lowballed, do you just counter or decline? If a listing isn’t doing well and has been posted for a bit, I’m more inclined to negotiate. I just don’t feel like I can on same day or early days listings that are getting a lot of attention.

And with your type of merchandise that is so beautiful I would certainly not begin to once we give it away early. If I've had a piece a long time had a it's something I don't care about then I'll accept some lower offers. Depends on how much I have into it

I had a woman put me through the mill on a bundle she started with 12 items with questions on each one of them most of which were answered in my listing but I was being nice and answered all her questions she done cutter bundle down to eight items and said she was ready could I give her an offer before I made the offer I told her what it was going to be 50% off the listed prices plus 10% off lowered prices.

So I told her how much it would be using that calculation and she was thrilled she said okay make me the offer so I'm going to make the offer about 10 minutes later and the woman BLOCKED me!!! No Rhyme or Reason, no explanation all it says is I cannot make an offer to this person I went to her site and tried to share something of hers and it says I am blocked these are some of the things you have to take a deep breath and say move on

@kmctbr I think I was more shocked when I went to make the offer and it wouldn't accept it saying you cannot make any offers to this closet. First I wasn't sure what it was all about so I went to her closet tried to share something and it wouldn't allow me to do that either then it dawned on me she blocked me yes I have a name I'd like to call her too but I can't dwell in the negative! It just drags you down. It's actually her loss not mine. I'll probably end up selling them all for more anyhow!

For many years I taught elementary school and was so often delighted at my students misunderstandings of certain words. That is why I made the joke about me. But in adults, and everyone on Poshmark is an adult, it both drives me crazy and makes me feel sad. Some one posted a lot of listings of Tang Tops. I hope you share my delight in that!

Kristen, I promise not to wear you out with pet peeves. But one of the things that drives me crazy (I am old enough to have had Home Ec in high school with one semester of sewing) is when Poshers (young?) say a skirt is pleated when it is gathered. Or call a blouse "button down" when it has a front button placket. Collar is not buttoned. How's that for petty!

One of the cutest things I encountered in teaching was once, when I had a substitute, she spent the day teaching my almost uncontrollable class yoga. When I got back the next day. I ask the kids to show me what they had learned. The all sat in Lotus, and my wildest child closed her eyes and started chanting, "Yum" for Om. I adored her after that!

Too funny!! Sorry your memory of Memphis was not good. It is nothing like I remember. I’m related to Elvis, I know I know....and you’ll sell me some land on Mars! Lol. It’s true. I love you are a animal lover. I have a Havenese, and I saved the other. A Bichon’ but was neglected. My groomer said he needed a good home. Took to vet. Breath horrible. He had 13...THIRTEEN teeth pulled!!! Anyway they are both hypo-allergic shed- free (I love). Good to talk. Over 500 words, or I have to edit!

@darden56 I actually have great memories of Memphis, and TN. I was visiting a friend of mine in Nashville and we wanted to go on “road trip” to Memphis and go to Graceland! We were pulled over and stopped on the way to Memphis, and twice in Memphis. 🤣🤣 It wasn’t fun exactly at the time, but my memories of the whole trip are amazing. BTW, I am not a law breaker, we just got really lost and ended up in some places in and around Memphis where we really stuck out like sore thumbs I guess.

(1) Good morning, Kristen. So nice to wake up to a note from you. About my post-it signs: I made them using a piece of software called Pages that comes resident with any Mac computer. We are an all Mac household. They are just a combination of a graduated color background and a decorative font.

(2) They are saved as jpegs, or an image file, and if you have a desktop computer at home, you should be able to just drag the post-it from my closet to your computer's desktop. The image format that Poshmark uses is jpeg based. I could also email them to you as jpeg images and you could download them from your email. Or I could make ones just for you.I am not sure how to get them from my phone to yours, but if you use an iPhone I could try.

@victoriaxoxo6 Hi! It seems we do! I’m about 5 feet tall, and my weight currently fluctuates between 110 -120 pounds. I have a smaller bust, but have larger hips and rear. I’m a true pear shape! I remember taking the school bus past Paisley Park when it was being built in the late 80's...driving through Graffiti Bridge to the Eden Prairie community center. Running into Prince late (really late) at night in the grocery store. Weird. I was really fortunate to grow up in this community! The people here value the things I do. The only other place I have lived is Las Vegas. 😳😳 Did you used to live in the area?

@stix112190x I’m from NY, but then to NC, several other cities in between near and far. I moved to Eden Prairie and worked in Richfield for 4 years. Been past Paisley Park, meet Prince briefly (crazy experience not at a grocery store) 😁Have friends in Wayzata, Chanhassen, Edina....across the bridge to St. Paul and so on. I loved living there. Winter gets a little long. But I love the fall and summers. Sounds like you’ve had some great times and cool memories. It’s a small world, isn’t it?

@eastvillageshop Lol. I did always share the other half of my sandwich! 🤣😁😘 That is so funny! I guessed you were from there. I was born in Upstate NY (Glens Falls) near Lake George. I have family all over the state. I worked in Bryant Park in Midtown for quite a while, but my company had a contract with one of the hotels so I basically “lived” in The Roosevelt and one other off and on. It was a little insane to be honest! I bet we would have shared our sandwiches with each other. 😁

Do not take ANY transactions off of Poshmark, Don’t email or text anyone who asks you to do so “b/c they want to buy right away”. Those are scams. Also, keep your closet Posh Compliant! @jdepickle I really appreciate that! Thank you so much. I just did a quick sweep of all of my closets, and I don’t have any fitted traditional button down shirts here. I am sure I have some stored at my sister’s house, and I can do a more thorough search next week when I am there. I have just about everything else you can think of - camis, Cardigan’s, shells, long sleeve wraps, other tops, suits upon suits, etc. - But not button downs. I can’t believe it! Darn it! I’m so sorry!

I just quickly pulled two because it’s just about bed time here...one is an AT SP, 16” pit to pit, 22” arm, 15.2” waist, 22.5 L, the other is Merona. The Merona is Small: longer, but shorter arms - 17.5” W, 18” pit to pit, 20.5” arms, 27.5”L. This one also has pockets. Both front zip w/ collar. In terms of sharing, you do have to share each item individually, there isn’t a way to share the entire closet at once. You’re the best💕💕💕. I went on my first thrift haul today to Good Will and can’t believe the finds. They are all cleaned up and now looking for comps to list. I’ll let you know when all is listed. I would really like your TRUE opinion on my closet. I haven’t had even a nibble for a week and am starting g to panic. Seeing your pet pjcs does two things for me. It makes me smile :D . I love animals and swear I have some deep connections w them that seldom happens w humans.
