High waisted wide leg jeans 70s style

Wide leg high waisted jeans. Previously thrifted at The Velvet Underground for $60 but never personally worn. So so beautiful but the waist is too small for me. For reference I am 24/25 waist and can barely button these. Has been hemmed (see pictures). Waist is 11” across, hips 15.5”, inseam is 28.5”, pant leg unrolled is 39.5”.
