scoffer do you pronounce it like Cofer or Coffer (cougher) even though it's spelled Coffer my family pronounces it like Cofer. sorry for the curious questions- don't meet many Coffers- actually never met ANY outside my own family!

jcoffer24 @scoffer My family pronounce it Coffer cough er rhymes with coffee but many of my husband's family go by cofer rhymes with gopher. If fact in the old family Bible in the 1900's some of the family spelled the last name Cofer and later it was changed to Coffer. Most of my husband's family lives in NC FL and Texas.
