I was actually there as a kid to see my dad race one of his MGs and had no idea the major history of the track! The Glen is a world class facility, so much history there.๐๏ธ๐ Vintage racing is the best group of "gentle" racing there is.
We love the Phoenix area. Saw lots of concerts @ Compton Terrace!๐ถ

I received a bundle, 3 items, today that was the BEST packaging that I had ever received! Every item had it's own sealed, see through envelope, with a sticker that said thank you. I was quite impressed!

@lakedwellerhb OH WOW! Thatโs an awesome car heritage! Warren loves classic, vintage cars etc (racing cars are more me) but he loves all cars with a documented heritage! Canโt wait to show him yours! Heโs sleeping so probably best to wait til the morning! ๐๐ฅฐ I can show him a photo and he can tell me exactly the year, make, model and any variations (ford had this...mercury had this,,,etc) And his dad worked for TWA so he knows his planes too!

Iโm not certain where Searcy, AR is located in regards to Bella Vista, but have you ever visited Simple Pleasures Events hosting location? The owners turned their farm into a historic car museum/ and event location for weddings, receptions, etc. I only mention this as our niece had her wedding reception there last fall & the owner lets the couple choose one of the cars to transport them from the wedding chapel to the reception location!

@home_decor_btq Lol...yeah I'm WAS a racer. I suffered a stroke 2yrs ago. Spent 24 days in neuro-icu, 4wks in rehab & 4wks in the nursing home. Thank God I had a fantastic team working with me!๐

@innerbeauty1968 Hi Michelle! Bella Vista is in the NW corner of the state, close to the Missouri line. I know NWA very well! We live in central Arkansas, north of Little Rock. I owned a building lot in Bella Vista for a while. I was using it to take advantage of the golf courses. I ended up selling it when B.V. had a building boom. I paid $350 for the lot & sold it for $12,500!๐ค

And of course CRAZY storms...+ I donโt camp.....so we drove to Bella Vista and spent the night at a Ramada Inn! That was 1997-ish. Clearly that RI is long gone but the next morning everyone who weathered the storm finally understood why AC, my own bed, & a HOT BATH had us looking much โchipperโ than they did! I DONโT CAMP! ๐๐คฃ๐๐คฃ๐๐คฃ๐ Warren says my idea of โroughing itโ is a Ramada Inn! Truer words were never spoken! ๐๐๐

would that float trip be down the Elk River? We has a chance to buy Gracie's Campground. We knew the owners and we would let our dogs run. At the time, we had 4 dogs. A beagle, a short hair pointer, a blue tick hound & a shar pei.

@lakedwellerhb ABSOLUTELY THE ELK RIVER! ๐๐๐ It was hot, humid, and my husband would just blow up an air mattress and put it in the bed of the truck. It had a shell but no air circulation even with the shell windows open! Then...RAIN ...and a million tiny pings on the fiberglass that sounded like a non stop hail storm.....For the sake of our 2 year marriage at that time....Ramada Inn was chosen! ๐๐๐

Since I lost my sight in my rt. eye, I can no longer use them. All I can do is putt. I've seen golf balls on Posh', but I don't know if club sales would be allowed.

My brother in law & son in law handle driving the car now. I used to have a couple of drag cars too('70 Buick GS Stage 2 & '64 Plymouth Sport Fury Max Wedge), but sold them, and a few other cars, to get the GT40. Now all I can do is ride shotgun!lol๐ค

In the meantime, I always liked/worked on cars & motorcycles. I bought my GT40 in '80 from the 2nd owner.๐

I have been trying to get the same shot for years! I can't seem to get the shutter speed just right. The water is the tricky part!

My favorite eating fish, for around here, are crappie or blue cats.
No salmon, tuna, swordfish, snook, halibut, grouper or redfish fishing in my neck of the woods. They have to fly them in!๐

The ability to keep my cognitive ability is a big thing for me. It was/is a struggle...too much to explain. I lost sight in my rt.eye & still have difficult speaking, esp' if I get frustrated. At least I am mobile & can basically take care of myself!๐๐

My health is improving. I still have some issues w/ cognition. G's tumor is shrinking, 4cm down to 3mm. She has a CT scan in 3wks to see if it is still shrinking.๐๐ผ

Hi Jimbo & G. Due to health problems I tried to close my closet. After closing it for a while, I realized that I need it to keep me going. I've a great deal of trouble remembering things. I often spend several hrs looking for items that I sold. Then panic sets in when I can't find them. Admitting that I can't remember is not easy. Your story touched me & inspired me. Thank you ๐

I can relate to what I call, CRS... can't remember sh*$#!๐

It's been a bit of a struggle. I am permanently disabled from my stroke, lost sight in my rt eye & most of my speech. Less than a month after I finally came home, G broke her hip & was diagnosed with stage 2 lung cancer. Her treatment is going VERY well! Her tumor's have srunk a lot!๐ We are blessed!๐๐๏ธ๐

I wasn't injured in a racing accident, I had a hemmoragic stroke 2ยผyrs.๐ค Lost sight in my rt eye & most of my speech. Nothing related to racing...๐

Iโll be praying for your full recovery. I too had a stroke at age 40, but thank God was working at an outpatient surgical center. The gave me oxygen immediately. Finally, discovered I had a stroke and a tumor behind my ear so had a craniotomy followed with physical theraphy at a rehab hospital. Iโm 70 now and alive. @adiel1949 Hi Leticia! Thank you for the prayers! Unfortunately I will not make a "full recovery"! I have permanently lost sight in my rt eye & most of my speech. I working hard on my speech. I've been working on it! My brother in law was my first responder & had me to the hospital in 6min, 12min to diagnoses, 4min to treatment. I spent 28d in neuro-icu, 3d step down, 30+d IP rehab, 30d nursing rehab.

I had an aneurysm that burst. My bro' in law was my 1st responder/EMT. He had me to the ๐จ in 12min. I was dx'd & in surgery in 23min. 90dys later I was able to come home. It was a long haul! If it weren't for God/Jesus/my team, I would be pushing up flowers!๐ค๐๐๐ฉ๐
To bad I can't drive my car anymore. But considering the alternative, I'm great!๐

I just wanted to y'all that I had a scare in Feb.
As y'all know, I had a stroke 2ยฝyrs ago. I have surgical clips in my head.
I had another stroke due to a blood clot! My blood got TOO thick
They gave me TPA to dissolve the clot.
I spent 3ยฝmo recovering. Lost all sight in my rt. eye & more of my speech!
Thanks to ALL the Dr's, Nurses & Therapists! Most of all, thank you my dear G!!! Your prayers pulled me through!๐๐จ๐ฉ๐
I am good, for the most part!

@lakedwellerhb Wow, you're well travelled! we've visited over half the US States so far. we were going to do Hawaii this year then decided it didn't have sense since we're trying to save for the farm and it's very expensive to visit. Maybe when we're retired we'll go, haha! oh, I'm staying "safe" enough. G has stage 2 Adenocarcinoma. She was not a candidate for surgical intervention. She had radiation therapy, 32 treatments. So far, everything is looking good! Her tumors, she had 4, have shrunk to less than 1mm/SQ. The largest was 3cm/SQ. She has a CT & PET scans every 6 months. We are doing well!

@lakedwellerhb mine was LG & on left lung /robotic surgery @ Mayo Clinic 2 sm tumors on lining after they were operating. March = Chemo x2 kinda & 1 immuno - I quit treatment & get scanned every 3 months. Stay positive! Laugh a lot! Ty ๐ & same time you.

As far as the COVID thing goes...I have a tendency to go with science. 25+ years in academic & clinical medicine.

@lakedwellerhb I'm all for going with science, but what I realize is just because somebody has MD after their name or they have a degree in epidemiology, it doesn't mean that they will never be mistaken, skew facts, or even lie. I do think there is a virus, it's just way over blown. there's a great article on the truthaboutcancer.com that talks about 8 covid myths, which cites a lot of science.

@amigregg Hi Ami! All the outdoor photos are from our home state of Arkansas. We love our pups! When I had my first stroke, G had to re-home our 3 bullies. I was in the hospital for 3 months & I knew G couldn't really care for them.
Brain injuries are a bear. I played college football & I know I had many concussions! The ruptured aneurism has slowed me down A LOT!
Posh'ing & IG are so helpful to me!

@lakedwellerhb I knew we live about 20 min from Mountain Home small world I seen the 1st picture and was hey I hiked that itโs so beautiful up there... We are blessed 2 beautiful lakes and Rivers gods country my mom would say.

@lovemybags73 Norfork & Bull Shoals are great lakes! I lived in Mt. Home for a year.
When we want our lake fix, we go to Greer's Ferry. We have 10 acres on the Little Red River in Judsonia.
I lived in NE Arkansas for a while & got to know Beaver Lake very well!
