K616 Awesome pencil sketch of a Bison by Albertan artist John Stone (1937-2019). On thick paper, unframed and measuring 18" wide by 14" high. Signed, dated 1986. Spending his life in the vast and diverse wilderness of central Alberta, John Stone captured what he observed around him through his realistic artwork. A former farmer and horseman, Stone continued to paint in his retirement. His love for wildlife, along with his keen eye, allowed him to paint what he knew from memory. His paintings and sketches depicted all kinds of wildlife, horses and dogs. Good, clean condition.
