I get bored with my pictures and use other ones I like along with mine.y mom passed 2 years ago and I still have her basement one full attic and her living room is stuffed. Not to mention what is in a storage locker and at my home. I can understand 6 years and my prayers are with you. 💋

thedragonslady @payless thank you. The hard thing is that she held on to a lot of my father's stuff when he passed and it's heartbreaking going through his stuff also. She cashed all her insurance in before she passed so she left me with a ton of stuff and just enough money to pay two of her bills. Trying to thin out so we can sell both properties and move to the country it's going to take time a lot of time.

payless I took Mama's glassware to a local antique consignment store, and they sold quite a bit. I was fortunate in that they paid 70%, and they kept 30%, which was great. You will be able to look back and feel relief a few years from now, but it's so overwhelming at first. As my granddaddy used to say, "Hang in there, like a hair in a biscuit," ha!!😘

I inherited her Avon hoard and am getting rid of doubles and extra stock she had. Warms my heart that others have great memories then like I did!

diamondluv94 @thedragonslady Same here, sorry about your mother. That's rough I can't imagine! My mother used to sell Avon back in the early 70's and throughout the 80's. So funny she has some of the same things your mother had, and she likes to hoard also! Even though she won't admit it. Basement is packed of things going back at least 45+ years! It's not a bad thing though because it's like a time capsule and you forgot things you had. I'm 39 so that gives you an idea of why I like the 80's stuff!

thedragonslady @mneitch the black cat had to be put down on the one year anniversary of my mom’s death I think he died of a broken heart and about a year later the shepherd got very ill and I had to have him put down. The tabby was heartbroken so we got the hound and she is not thrilled about him but tolerates him

thedragonslady @micheleforaker the bar isn’t gold as far as I know, I sold Avon when these pins were awarded I have a few. When Avon owned Tiffany their top jewelry designer made those pins for Avon along with a few other pieces. But they don’t carry a Tiffany mark. The stones are the only thing real.
