Operating out of 8 community locations in Winnipeg, Healthy Start reaches families who live in poverty, violence and isolation. A Healthy Start for Mom and Me Inc. also reach newly arrived immigrant & refugee to Canada by offering their program in their first language. Families come to the groups to learn about having a healthy baby and come back after their baby is born, to learn how to care and nurture their babies. Each group offers a friendly place to ask questions from a dietitian, public health nurse and outreach staff.
