This dress is heavy! (due to the glass beads all over it) and so luxurious. It's a little too big for me and I don't have any gala events to go to anyways. But maybe you do?
Born to a Russian diplomat and an Italian countess, Oleg Kassini would become the fashion designer best known for dressing First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy during the Camelot years.
The mannequin is a small, 36/24/34. I pinned the dress about two inches of a pinch on the upper back and waist to show the fit better. The dress is in really good shape, with the exception of a few of the hand stitching threads being loose that are holding on the beads. If you have a hand sewing needle you could just thread them back inside the dress. I didn't notice any beads missing or falling off. The sleeves are flared, and sheer, and the body is silk lined for opacity. The drape of the dress on your body is what I imagine wealth feels like. My home is smoke and pet free and the dress has no odor of perfume or anything else. Invisible zipper in the back.
Laid flat, armpit to armpit 19 inches, sleeve from shoulder seam 24 inches, and overall length from shoulder to hem is 36 1/2 inches. I'm 5'2 1/2 and it hit me just a bit below the knee. Oh, and I'm sorry you can't tell in the pictures but the hem is scalloped with beads like the sleeve hems.
