On April 26, 2025 a tragic event happened at the Lapu Lapu Festival in Vancouver, BC Canada which lead to multiple fatalities and injuries. This was meant to be a joyful celebration of Filipino culture and community — and it’s all the more devastating that such violence occurred in that context. My thoughts are with the Filipino community, with those who were present, and with anyone feeling the weight of this tragedy. As having attended the festival and being Filipino myself, this has sat heavy with me for the past few days and all I can think about is all the innocent lives lost and a whole community who's collectively grieving. From May 1st to 15th, 100% of all my Poshmark sales will be donated to either Filipino BC or verified GoFundMes in support of victims affected by the Lapu Lapu incident.
