Lanvin is a French fashion house founded in 1889 by Jeanne Lanvin. It is the oldest French fashion house still in operation. I've always loved Lanvin because, through the various artistic directors, it's gone from chic, to bow-tied, to sleek but always very feminine. As soon as I saw this bag, I fell in love with it because it was made exclusively for the Japanese Lanvin market in blue, which is the symbolic color of the house. I love the Japanese market, which has such different expectations and tastes from America or the European market. It goes from very chic, to much funkier models than we do - in fact, in vintage they're number 1, as well as in denim, and what they make or buy is always very cutting-edge. This bag is made in a creamy dark chocolate premium leather with this mouth in a bright red. Handle that can be unclipped by antique gold-colored snap hooks. It's long enough to be worn either on the bias or on the shoulder, and even though there's room to make lots of holes by a cobbler, it could be worn at the waist. It can also be worn as a clutch - in short, this bag is very versatile. Inner lining in black matte satin, inside zippered pocket. A real gem of a bag, simply delicious, that can be worn 4 seasons and as chic as denim. In like-new condition. On the back, a patch pocket.
