LeSilla black leather lug-sole wedge ankle boots, EU40, NWT

Le Silla is a high-end Italian luxury footwear brand that has been making the most drop-dead gorgeous shoes for women over the past 20 years. These shoes are in the same kind of bracket as Louboutin, Gucci or Casadei; usually with fantastically embellished, stratospheric heels that you'd expect to see on runways and red carpets, and I'm fairly sure I wouldn't be capable of walking in any of them. However, on occasion, they do concede to the vagaries of climate and produce the odd pair that might be considered 'practical' - in quotes because practical is always relative. These gracefully sculptural wedge ankle boots definitely follow the Le Silla playbook in terms of elegance, but you could actually walk on a slippery wet sidewalk in this pair without risking life and limb. Probably. I must have been feeling optimistic when I bought these - designer shoes of this caliber usually fit small, but the Dragon wanted these pretties, even though they were only a size 40. This pair will work best for a women's size 9, or maybe 8.5 with socks or an added insole. They have lugged rubber treads on the sole for a bit of traction, but not so you'd notice looking at them from above. They would work beautifully with professional attire, dressy casual, or for dressing up a comfy sweater dress.
