Genuine vintage 70s Levi's orange tab jean, gorgeous in so many ways:
-the patina, as seen on hips and thighs
-the tightness of the denim weave.
the quality of the stitching, very neat and tidy finishing. Can really see it in the anchoring of the belt loops and the pockets.
-the super-flattering cut. High waist and strength of denim really hold you in and shape you! Closest comparison to Levi's current style catalog is the "ribcage straight ankle" style, but I have to say I think these are even more flattering.
-really nice heavy zip fly
These are 100% cotton, would estimate between 10-12 oz weight denim. Not super-heavy like some 90s era denim, just high quality. No material tag, but stretch denim didn't emerge until about 30 years later in the early 00s, so can safely state these are 100% cotton. Jeans of this era were manufactured in USA or Canada.
Wear: (see photos)
-can see slight lines of abrasion on back of both legs near ankle, and less so on front of left and right leg. Hems are in great shape.
-a bit of abrasion on inner thigh
-no stains, no holes, no odours. Zipper and button work perfectly.
Measurements: (based on 25" waist, tagged as size 25 -- measure against your own pair with similar rise for best comparison)
Waist: 12.5"
Rise: 11.5"
Inseam: 31"
Leg opening: 10.25"
