I adore my job and love what I do more than anything ❤️ I'm working on my second Master's degree at night in behavioral therapy, so if some day I want to open my own practice, I'll have that option. Unfortunately, I don't get paid enough to cover another master's and living expenses, so that is what led me here! that's awesome that you're an IA now! Good for you! Thanks for reaching out ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I had a son who the system was going to lable as autistic but come to find out he was a preme who's retina didn't fully develope so he was missing teal color & had to have tinted glasses. The school system tired to say he was dyslexic. Today 23yr old engaged has a son and doing great.....

@carolynnscloset wow, good for you and your son! I'm glad that everything was figured out, and he was properly diagnosed! I am lucky enough to work in an amazing county with an exceptional special education program, but I know not everyone is as lucky. Parents are such an irreplaceable part of a student's success, especially those with special needs. You know your kids better than anyone else, so it's always great hearing about students who went on to be so successful. You must be very proud. 😊

Yes he worked hard 6am -6pm tutor. Football 6am -7am 7-8am tutor 9-12th grade. Plus summer. School. Mom help with home work....... I have 11yr old step daughter who intermittently needs help. Both het big bro's adore her... That a whole new teacher case.....

Thank you so much for the kind words.. and thanks for looking in my closet! :) I am having a great time on Posh, and it has already made a difference during a financially hard time for me. Teaching students with autism is a HUGE passion of mine. I graduate in May with my Master's in Special Education, and next fall I am going back again to get my Applied Behavior Analysis degree to specifically target early intervention and therapy for students with autism. I would love to be able to open up my own private practice someday, but we'll see. Keep on spreading acceptance and positivity. :) Thanks for the support. <3

My mom was a Special Ed teachers aide at the same school for 27 years and she loved it! (her first two years were as a kindergarten aide. I can still remember the day she came home elated with Faye, an autistic girl in her classroom, who had made eye contact with her and smiled! A small victory, a great reward :) Your closet is amazing and your stats in six months' time is quite impressive! Best of luck to you in the Posh world, with both jobs and acquiring your Masters.

Haha, seriously though, I've dealt him with that first hand w/a child in my family from the start & have done that full time & all of the DR's, tests, ER visits, classes, @home remed, special therapists @home, different schools, the highs & lows & everything. I taught social skills to students with high functioning autism for year, and I even have a relatively successful YouTube page where I made social skills video modeling lessons (if you’re interested, I’d be happy to share!).
