French men are very romantic 😍 My mom and I went while I studied abroad in Amsterdam. We went to Paris for about 3 days. The foooood was the best part!! Also just being in such a quaint place, everything is beautiful like in the movies. We had a blast and so will you!!!😘✌

@dollface86 My condolences to you and your Mom. I was in a relationship with my late spouse for 13 years with the last 4 as actual spouses. Wish we had married sooner! But no regrets. Your Mom will know when she is ready. Some quicker than others. 4 years is a long time! I think I can work out something by then if I really am motivated (meaning really like the guy enough and the feeling is mutual). Traveling alone overseas is not advisable. I hope to go with a good friend, relative, or with a group. But going with a special someone to Paris during the Christmas Season (a second honeymoon), totally wonderful! I am excited for you two! 😊 When you do go, make sure you post pics on Poshmark. By the way, I was born on December 26th so going that time of year would be really special for me too. But is that time of year more expensive? Probably. 😍

@chrissie_marie Hi! Thanks and Thanks! Thanks for the great Shares too! My skin? Lol Good genes. My skin is fairly oily so that definitely helps. Living in AZ, I am more conscious of moisturizing and using good sunscreens. I have always used very good skin care products. I used to use lots of Neutrogena ones and some Oil of Olay, but have switched over to Mary Kay since I now sell MK too. Sadly, I cannot sell anybody skin care products on Poshmark. It is against the PM rules! I only have a few MK makeup ones on sale here. 😞 I am drinking more water too since I have to living in AZ. You can get dehydrated very easily here. Did I answer your question completely? 😊

@marlanap so nice to meet you too!!!! Do you speak fluent French? If so, you will REALLY love France! They appreciate if you even try. I took it in high school and my paternal grandmother is from there, but my dad wasn't taught French sadly. And she died when I was 5. Otherwise I would have wanted to learn it from her. I remember enough to get what I need there. And started to remember more in just 11 days. Crazy! Huh? I could go there for a month. So fabulous. You're making me want to make travel plans!!!! Ha! 😍😘

No, I speak un peu. But enough to put together a sentence or two. I took classes even conversational French in college. My instructor said I could too my R's quite well. He spent lots of time teaching us how. He was a fun teacher too. Professor Obay!!! I think he was from Canada!

@missrochelles Si, they are both Romance languages. Funny you should mention Spanish. Since we live in AZ, I have been trying to learn More Spanish too! I was taking a great free online BBC Spanish course, but stopped! It is excellent! You get a certificate when you finish. It lasts 10-12 lessons, possibly more. I would love to resume since it is good to have Spanish as a second language. But French will always be my favorite foreign language. C'est Magnifique! 😍😍😍

I have lived in areas since age 9 that speak predominantly Spanish but really didn't have any desire to learn it. But I've decided to do it. I actually know quite a but of single words. Just not making sentences. Counting to 20, days of week, time etc. Many people in Nogales have been quizzing me. I've been enjoying it finally now.

I actually was learning Vietnamese for 4 months but I had to drive to Silverbell Rd 2times per month and my health wasn't too well so I quit. I LOVED it though. It's a fun language. There's 5 tones. They don't have as many words so it's not that bad! Lol

@marlanap This is very interesting! I lived in England for a short period, and kept wanting to go to Paris, amongst other places. My heritage is Scot, and my mom & dad and oldest sister went to Scotland, London, and Ireland. Another of my sisters, has backpacked through Europe a couple of times with her 2 sister in laws; they also went to the Brittish Isles. I love to travel, since my Husband has been teaching SCUBA for 26 yrs, we usually go to the Islands. Too many to list...LOL. Thank you for your experiences!!✌️😎

@marlanap That is so true! My Mom and I were talking about that yesterday, how we would not fly now; and how fortunate to have done so much traveling, because now we would have to really think twice! My Husband was in Beleze, and that is a third world Country. And in Rowatan, how in some parts, the sewers ran in the streets!! We were in Bonaire, twice, and that is the last island before South America. When my nephew turned 16, my BIL took him to Bolivia hunting for a week; then back when he graduated HS. Ok, I'm sorry I went on and on;0)

@missidoll Oh No! Talk freely. It is great hearing what you have to say about traveling abroad, especially since you have done so much of it! Yes, I agree that you and your loved ones have been very fortunate. Traveling can be costly too. I wish my family had been able to travel more while we were growing up, but we usually had other priorities. So I travelled more as an adult. Fortunately, my dear late parents and late husband went on adult trips with me. My parents and one of my sisters even went to Disneyland together the summer after my husband passed. That 1992 trip was really needed! Comfort fun! 😊👍😊

@marlanap I'm so sorry about your husband! One of my sisters (Dottie-Family names, except me?), anyway, Dottie lost her husband 4 years ago and she is still grieving. So sad. But they have 2 adult Boys with families of their own. So she spends as much time with her grandchildren as possible. But 1992 was a bad year for me too! On April 12, 1992, was the day I fell, and was the beginning of what I have become now. I am 54yrs and am Disabled.0 from my waist down, including my back, I am on many pain killers, and have a Neuromodulator inserted inside of my spind with a battery pack in my butt that I have to charge once a month, I have a hip replacement; I will not bore you with all of my operations8 , but my Diagnosis is " Sympathic Dystrophy from waist down, Chronic Pain Syndrome, Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, Chronic Back Pain, AVascular Dystrophy , Severe Depression with Chronic Anxiety. Those are according to my Pain Dr, and my Psych. Dr. If you talk to my Neurosurgeon, you get variances, same with my Orthopedic Surgeon. And, I had Ovarian Cancer Cells, so a Hysterectomy at 47ys, so, no children of my own, but my husband and I came together when his daughter was 8, and his son was 12. So, I think The Lord knew I was going to have my hands full with those two, whom I Love as if they were my own.ok, that's enough, I need to make my purchase. I love the skirt I already bought, it's just a little long. I'm 5'4, but I sew, so that so no problem. Plus I love my skirts and dresses long...;)

@missidoll Thanks. It has been so long ago. Other relatives, my parents passed in 2005 and now my only brother this past January. Well, no kids for me either. I was able, but my biological clock ran out after my husband passed. But like you said, God knows and prepares you. Perhaps I may one day become a foster parent? Or a Big? Or like you, get kids via a marriage? I love kids so I hope one of those scenarios happens soon. So sorry about your health issues. You appear to stay positive though. God bless you. 🙏🙏🙏

@missidoll I just had time now to read your entire comment. Sorry for the delay due to work and Lol needing rest. 😴😴😴😴 I am a teacher, but only work part-time now. I totally agree it is great to be able to work and wear better clothes then. So sorry about your situation. But you sound like you know how to stay positive and generate more income. Posh is great for that. And I plan to work a few more years hopefully before officially "retiring" for good. I am very thankful I could take an early retirement since I was financially able. Too complicated to explain here. Suffice it to say, I had enough extended family matters that interfered with me working full-time. I needed to re-evaluate my life then and decided I wanted to try something very new so I took the early retirement since I was moving out of state anyway, bought a house in AZ, and moved to AZ in June 2009. I just needed a fresh start. When I am not working, I enjoy volunteering, writing, decorating, gardening, walking, cultural events among other things. So my life is full. I definitely have lots to keep it interesting even though I am single now, no husband or kids. I might become a Big or foster parent. Considering it, but I am so busy otherwise. More about what I just said is explained in my Let's Chat listing. Thank you for being such a wonderful supporter and Buyer! 😍😊😍 as for Buying, I believe it is best to let you decide. No Pressure! @sc1202kb How Cool! I have met other Francophiles on here who have shared their travel memories. I hope to go to Paris in a few more years. One Posher has been a few times @jenna4411. She recommended that the best way to stay on Paris is to rent an apartment via Paris Perfect Apartment Rentals. Great advice. She said they rented just minutes from La Tour Eiffel. I think I spelled that correctly. 😊😊😊 What an awesome location! I have chatted about photography with other Poshers too. One even has a list of her favorite photo apps to use for Posh photos. So many hidden treasures on here. 😊 Very Lovely closet with multiple pieces and sizes. Looks like a boutique. More Poshers have closets with several sizes and duplicate items. I am doing a little of that with my accessories. But I am just happy selling off all of my one-size excess clothing and accessories Lol. 😊 I will share her closet as time permits. Hectic. I do a lot of 10K Help and Welcoming Others, also Party Alerts plus my own closet stuff so my plate is pretty full. I work part-time too! But Thank you for letting me know. @jessecac Ohhhh! That info is in her pics above each Sign Up Sheet & she usually mentions it in the comments too. I think her group starts at 9 PM PT and ends by 1 AM PT/10 AM EST. You still need to share even if you are very late and then Sign Out. All groups usually require that you still participate if you already Signed Up in advance. Hope that info helps. 😊
