@colahelen Hi! Your closet looks SUPER... clean and simple, great photos! Mine, too, is comprised of my own clothes, shoes, etc. It looks like you're doing well to me! My only suggestion is to perhaps be consistent in how you photograph your preowned jeans.

@colahelen I've read comments both ways.... some are turned off by modeled and others want them modeled π€· I lay them flat but that's how I've been doing it on EB for 6 years (with pretty good success). π I think they're a hard sell (because of the saturation) so expectations need to be low but using all 8 photos and giving a really detailed description helps. π€

@colahelen You'll also get mixed opinions on whether or not to include measurements (sellers say no, buyers say yes) but I always provide them. I know if I'm browsing around and I don't at least see an inseam length, I keep moving. Just MO which probably isn't worth much! ππ©

@jori101 Hi! Thank you for the compliment! I've been doing this awhile (on other sites) so I have quite the set up now. I do use white paper for my backdrops... one hanging from the wall and one flat on the floor. I made my own lighting using shop lights (for garages); two vertically for the upright shots and one overhead for the flat shots.

@jori101 To eliminate any yellowish cast, I use the editor with my photo app and for the tougher shots, I use Photoshop. I actually just try to mimic my fave online retailer... J.Crew. The lumens (5000 kelvin) in your lighting are most important... and you want to use natural daylight bulbs. I hope this helps! π©ππΈ

@jori101 I bought a roll off Amazon... 53" x 36' and it's lasted me forever (it's heavier weight so it doesn't tear super easy). I think you can get it at Hobby Lobby, too, but not 100% about that. Just search for "backdrop paper".

@jori101 I just use the editing tools in iPhoto and Photos (Mac user) but I've read about others installing new apps just for photo editing... you really want something that works with the backgrounds of your photos (to lighten them or erase them)... not a bunch of filters and stuff you won't use. I'm glad to help!

@imapoodlemama Hello. I also rescue. My recent is a rat terrier who adores my poodle centric daughterβs two most recent rescued poodles. She is all about poodles, all the time. We both prefer adult dogs. Of course they are in need of much Veterinary care. Your dogs are beautiful.

@imapoodlemama One day I put a pic of my other 2 I have a Coton de Tulear, and a crockpoo and donβt have favorites my cockpoo has Thyroid problems and that was horrible she depends on me so much, and since I took care of her if I get sick and have spend so time in the bed she will not leave except to eat and potty. But I love all three so much. Enough of my bragging hope yβall have a Great 4th.

Hi Brenda! Iβm a poodle mom too... an overall big time animal lover! My first poodle was jet black and lived to be 18 years old. I still miss my Sable Girl after 2 years. She was blind and barely got to know her new little sister, Sadie Grace, before passing on. Just like with my two sons, I went from a well-mannered poodle to a Dennis the Menace poodle! Lol...

They definitely all have different personalities! I have adopted other dogs over the years and at one time had four. Six months after her devastating death, we adopted Jilly... who couldn't have been more opposite. Jilly was a firecracker, a runner, 10 pounds of terror, the boss... but she was also sweet and tender and loved to be held like a baby. I totally understand your Dennis the Menace comparison. ππ

@mimisblonde Thank you so much for the compliments... saving these fur kids has been one of the best things I've ever done (I think they're pretty awesome π©π). I use a roll of white paper from Hobby Lobby for my backdrop (one hanging, one flat) and I use Photoshop to correct any color problems, etc. I spend way too much time on my pics but I enjoy it. I'm an OK native BTW... little Twister town πͺππ Have a nice evening!

Hi Brenda. I'm just seeing that you are in Springfield, IL. Given your love for rescues, I wonder whether you knew my beautiful cousin, Kate Hein? She and her enormous heart were actively involved in the dog rescue community in Springfield for many years.

@imapoodlemama Hmm. Kate worked for AT&T / Illinois Bell and then WRS web solutions. I'm not sure what her husband did for a living. She volunteered with Quincy K-9 Connection. I'm not sure we're talking about the same person, though. Given the rescue community is tight, I figured you may have known her in that capacity. Anyhow, I hope you and your littles are well.

@tearoast I saw the obituary for your Kate. I am so sorry. I also found a 2009 article about a local pet/reading program which had a picture of her so I know we're talking about two different people. I appreciate her love for animals and I'm so very sorry for your loss π’π©π

@imapoodlemama if it is signed you can probably find something similar to guide you in pricing. I am sell Hopi Navajo and Zuni pieces. Is it one of those? Pricing is difficult, hard to know the value. If you canβt find something similar then itβs what you want for the piece.
