Hi! I'm Abby. I'm a metro Detroiter/Michigander. In my closet you'll find lots of Ann Taylor LOFT, Express, Anthro, Zara, different brands from Macy's, and fab boutique finds! I love statement pieces, great deals, and trying new brands! My main goal is to make room in my own closet, so make me an offer! The store I've been working at is about to close here in downtown Indianapolis and I'll be laid off.😞😢 My husband and I were planning on moving back to the Detroit area, where we're from, this summer, but it looks like I'll be moving back sooner than expected!

I'm applying to start a Master's program in the fall, and a friend of ours is going to let me stay with his family in exchange for accommodating a date night every other weekend for him and his wife(who have terrific, easy-going kids!).❤

abby_road @kelley_herbez I've been full-time at the downtown Indy LOFT for the past +year. Unfortunately, our mall's clientele has been mostly people visiting the city for conferences. A lot of stores have closed this past year. Idk what the mall is planning on doing. I live downtown, so it's convenient to go there. But if you want to do some real shopping, you get in your car and drive north to the Fashion mall lol! I'll be doing a Master's in Counseling.☺

With a daughter who has bipolar, we have spent many hours with counselors over the years. Interesting chatting with you. I have never really struck up on conversation on Poshmark before ( except about what I am selling ) ☺️

I think I'll end up picking up a part-time position at some point, just for fun and for my wardrobe! I've been shopping there for over 15 years, so it was an easy transition to sell the clothes!....

It's in my blood - I have a lot of family members in different areas of the mental health profession, including an aunt I am very close to. She's basically my mentor in many aspects.

I could always tell when she would be tweaking her own meds around, or had stopped taking them...I would tell her stop ranting and go take your meds! We were very close when we lived together...also worked together, so I understood her rants lol!

abby_road @kelley_herbez Patience and empathy. But we still had our moments. She was by far my favorite person to live, even better than my hubby cause I didn't have to share a bed haha! She never opens up as much as I do, but when she does I know how much it means to her...to have a person to trust.

kelley_herbez @abby_road She is 20 now, but was diagnosed at 16. Symptoms way before that. She is doing well right now and assistant manager at a PACSun store. She cycles rapidly though and spends more time down than up.

abby_road @kelley_herbez Wow, that's rough timing as a teenager. Props to your daughter and your family for getting through what I'm sure were some really tough years. It must be hard to find peers with whom to identify with, for both your daughter and you. My husband has a really hard time understanding my anxiety/depression. What a shame I married someone so emotionally stable lol! But it's a source of resentment for him and something we are constantly working on.

abby_road @kelley_herbez I think the hardest thing that I've had to learn to accept about myself (still working on this), is that it's ok to struggle. No one reaches their potential without setbacks. I feel my best when I'm working or volunteering in a field that means something to me, so that I can look back at some short-term accomplishments. This helps me move forward toward long-term goals and keeps my mood up.

kelley_herbez @abby_road oops that last message wasn't ready to send. I feel better helping others as well. I work for Weight Watchers, were we do a different kind of therapy. 😊. I find that the more that everyone is open about their struggles, the more we realize that we are not alone with them. For example, me crushing on your closet led to this awesome conversation. 😊
