The great thing about vintage is that as time goes on, it has more value. Buying even clothes is an investment. Unfortunately modern dresses loose value after worn fast but vintage goes up in value! I’ve found if you can buy the wider legged ones you can seam rip them and they make perfect maxi skirts! I currently order my from AliExpress and they are about $13-$18 an outfit . I uploaded a new photo of us from Easter where my girls are wearing these outfits I made into skirts.

_2ndtimearound_ @anavel15 I make pencil skirts for my girls from the $3.88 microfiber jrs tank tops from Walmart. cut them off at the arm pits and sew in elastic. All the side and hem seams are original so it looks professional. They are mid calf. I make Jean skirts for my girls from pants. I’m super picky about denim matching but- if you get Bell bottom jeans you can make 1 mid calf skirt out 1 pair.

_2ndtimearound_ @anavel15 as far as store bought ones, I know there are some people on Etsy who will make custom length stretchy skirts and denim skirts as well. If you like to go thrifting a lot of Old Navy’s older denim skirts are long enough. Most stores are just hit or miss really. Target will sometimes have Toddler maxi skirts and maxi length tutus but not always

_2ndtimearound_ @anavel15 a lot of the more expensive brands will have one or two longer length options in some of their collections, like jelly the pug, Matilda Jane, mustard pie, etc. but they are generally rather expensive. I tend to have to put more dresses on my girls than skirts just because the length. We love j Khaki dresses. They’re affordable and look Boutique Style. Also a company to check out on eBay is w.l.monsoon for comfy mid calf play dresses.

We were supposed to share tubs of clothes, BUT they are going to start a church in a different city so now I have to find my own skirts lol Thank you so much for replying. Plus, it's so hard to find certain things to even be able to sale in a boutique. I do agree though, about it being hard to find long enough dresses and skirts for young girls. I have a little sister, she is skinny and tall, so her sizes are too short for her. I'll be praying for God to bless your endeavors, as I hope you'll pray for ours

Me and my sister started poshing a year ago, and then decided to make a boutique just a couple of months ago. Not only do we want to make modest items known, but we also want a way for us to make money. Certain jobs that we are able to do, are not always appropriate for us.

We live in Kentucky and in February had one of the worst ice storms in the US ever documented- my husband works for the power company and some people didn’t have electric for 28 days. Then our house flooded unexpectedly after we spent 40k renovating our basement- it had been done just 3 months- so now we’re having to move and praying God will sell our house and open up something.

_2ndtimearound_ @berkiehall And I also just had my baby boy (he’s 7 wks now 😊) we had a really traumatic birth and pretty much everything went wrong in the hospital- me and the baby are both lucky to be alive. Praise God he kept his hand on us! so needless to say I’m going to take some time off my boutique but I’ll definitely be getting back into it once everything calms down and gets back to normal!
