Married, mom of 2, I have a son with Cystic Fibrosis, i believe the more people know about this disease the faster we might get a cure,he makes me truly believe in the saying "Life is too Short". Some days are easier than others, but I enjoy everyday I hav with my little family!!! Currently my son is actively waiting for a double lung transplant.

brandiecook @cfmermaid u r more than welcome... I figure the more people that know of the disease( bc there is a lot of folks that have no clue) the more help y'all will get to finding a cure... We r trying to get my son on a clinical trial for the meds that treat the gene and not just the symptoms.

brighteyes5587 How old is your son? He looks like a sweetheart, so does your daughter. Hopefully he doesn't have diabetes. My husband is on the insulin pump after many years of injection. He likes this much better.

brandiecook @brighteyes5587 Peyton will b 12 in July... With his CF he gets sick ALOT!! Mainly his lungs, and he has really bad malabsorption and has a feeding tube... He could b put on the new clinical trial for that new med, but it's not offered here in MS yet, we've been waiting a year.

brighteyes5587 I'm sorry to hear that. My husband is currently in the hospital, went in yesterday for lung bleed. He has had that area ablated three times and now they are taking about a lobectomy. My hubby is 6'0. When we got married he was maybe 170, he now weighs 235. In hoping that new drug gets approved quickly. They need to put more cures out for people and stop worrying about making money in treating diseases.😞

brandiecook @brighteyes5587 I will pray for him, Peyton's had a lobectomy... He was 4 and they took out his right 1/2 lung. U r right, they worry about money and not the well being of the people that hav the disease. Bc of all the meds my son takes he will never b able to hav children, and now he is hitting pre teen and is always fighting me about his treatments. But I'm a tough love mom, I never giv in...lol
