eureekas_closet @hausofrabbit my mistake was being so excited about selling, in a neighborhood w/about 40 yard sales going on. I saw designer bags & snatched up the lot. Not even thinking 😮‍💨. Now I've got stains, a broken zipper & even a copy.. Do I trash them & move on with my life lesson WELL learned or is there a way to salvage my investment? I could list asking for advice but I'm also trying to build a reputation. It's a mess. Thank you for being so willing to help me make a go of this!

hausofrabbit @epaiger84 you can try to sell things that have flaws, just make sure you take really good photos and mention the flaws in the description. selling fakes is illegal so I would donate those. we've all made mistakes before, and it's always a chance to learn and grow

I tried that once & no reply *embarrassed* I don't want to keep bothering you with everything. My ? to them was "I love your closet! How do you find such great vintage clothing inventory"? Was that impolite? I live in a smallish area & my options are limited, I'll drive but where to go?

hausofrabbit @epaiger84 well some resellers may not want to share that information, or maybe it's a reseller that isn't very active on posh. as for finding good items it really depends on where you live. reselling takes a lot of work and investing time into research. there are thrift stores, consignment stores, online thrift stores. you can even buy on poshmark and resell items. if you need ideas for brands I recommend Jack Valentine's videos on YouTube.

eureekas_closet @hausofrabbit I know another question... how do people design the listings for sales? On like 3/$25 how do they do the mathing? Do they bundle it for them or what? How do you offer to likers & make a successful sell?

hausofrabbit @epaiger84 I honestly think the 3 for 25 is a bad not so great way to move inventory. you can send a bulk message that you are doing 3 for 25 or you can just update the caption to say 3/25 and then when they like the listings you can just add it to their bundle and send the offer. the math work out to about 6.60 an item so depending on what you paid per item that is going to be a very small profit margin.

I took *some* of the advice - staying active because I'm new & summer slow down but not so active I'm making sales I can't ship atm. Bc at this point 1 bad review could hurt me, not terribly but still I want people to be happy with their purchases.
