I just use my cell phone- play around with the white background (but I do have white cork board as a backdrop), and just take table lamps and use the window light. I use a step ladder to get higher which is a pain. Honestly I wish I had a more efficient set up I have a lot of challenge getting true color to come through unless the lighting is perfect from the window which is always variable.

lovegypsy @permigal Oh I feel your struggles! Thanks for getting back with me with how you take your pictures. I have taken some pics with my phone, and some with my Canon T5i. I’ve just bought a lighting kit from Amazon, and have set up a space in my garage to hang things. I stapled white roll paper to the wall! 😂

lovegypsy @permigal I also have foam board for the flat lays. Well, at least for my most recent pictures that’s what I’ve done. Older pictures have been taken with natural light on a wooden coffee table and my cell phone. I want to get away from that though and have a white background with props. I agree, sometimes it’s so hard to capture the true color of the items. Thanks again!

permigal @tarynginger you’re welcome! I’d love to have a camera and in think the paper roll background is perfect. I have a hard time getting a head to toe shot with good detail. I’m looking for more props now too. I’m in the process of setting up my spare bedroom for a photo space. Then I won’t have to set up and break down every time and rush around cleaning up before hubby comes home 😬

lovegypsy I agree, it's hard to get a full shot with detail. Life will be much easier with a spare bedroom for photos! My spare room is too cluttered with stuff that needs to be listed that I don't have room to take pictures in there. :/ I know how you feel about having to break it all down before your husband comes home! I have my photo setup right where my BF parks his truck. Ha ha!

permigal @sueellenmcgoey thank you so much! I really appreciate that- I do everything by hand (no app). I play with the exposure and white background until I get it right. I use white chalk board for flat lays as well as set up to photograph against when items are on the mannequin. I have a hard time getting a full length photo though to fit in the photo size for the cover shot

permigal I do need a lighting kit as well- I have a dark house which limits the hours I can photograph and if it’s cloudy I’m in trouble! I’m constantly trying to get “true color” in my photos. It’s a learning process!! Always trying to figure out what are nice props too for that extra touch- I’m still looking for ideas😊

sueellenmcgoey @permigal yes i use white posterboard mostly. With adjustable desk lamps on either side for lighting. Also figured out if i turn lights in room off and just use my desk lamps i get better pics. :)

permigal @sueellenmcgoey Really!!! That’s interesting! I just picked up a couple desk lamps that I can bend/angle. I Need to get bulbs so haven’t used them yet. I saw a lighting kit a fellow posher posted a link to that is under $40 she swears by- I was going to look into that

What I have ranges from pre-owned gently used to new condition. Hudson’s are great too and I do have a nice pair of 29’s in those. I’ll keep you posted!

permigal @tradeooo oh... and oh my gosh I have a pair of silver Tuesday’s 30/33 flat pocket though but the stitching is SOOO friggin cute!! I’ll do measurements too because I’ve noticed variations in the same size; I know you said 29 but sometimes one size up or down works but we have to be sure of your waist span, front rise you like, etc.

permigal @tradeooo gotcha. The front rise you like I’ll bet is about 7”. And I meant size 30 with a 33”inseam or length. I agree 30 probably is too short if you’re used to a 33” inseam. These Tuesday’s are size 30 and 33inch length.

permigal @tradeooo Joe’s are awesome! So are Big Star. Are you a boot leg gal or do you wear skinnys too? And yup I’ll send Picts. There are a couple Hudson’s in my closet already but I haven’t listed the size 29 or 30 yet. Hudson’s I feel can run a little small sometimes. They fit like a glove!

I didn’t look for Joe’s yet but I found Hudson’s bootleg new condition size 29 with 33in length. I have a style I think you’ll like similar to Silvers with the back pocket flap.

Sky races are required to be of a certain many miles and certain amount of vertical. Actually got hypothermic that day it was raining... but it was soooo beautiful!! Crystal mountain. 23rd_n_vine @permigal We just got home last night and I opened the package. Thank you SO VERY much for the shirt and the jeans--and the fact that everything fit! Everything is soft as heaven and I adore that--first and foremost. Waist size: I'm often b/t a 28 and 27--and it's tough to gauge which will run true, small, or larger. The GAP jeans are long (can deal w that) but comfy as you said. I like both yogas.

permigal @23rd_n_vine I’m so glad everything is soft enough and fits! The gap jeans are boyfriend style so usually worn with rolled up cuffs so I thought that would work. You can cut the hem too for natural fraying as I believe they’re 💯 cotton so will distress nicely. I think it’s deflation and rest time for you. Thank you for taking time to message me. She's a rescue - we think she's border collie, german shepherd and maybe some lab and she gets a stripe down her back when she's excited so possibly some Ridgeback? Love her to death! We rescued a jack russel several years ago when he was 14 years. He passed but now I've a Jack Russel soft spot in my heart :-)

permigal @slroland hello - I am so sorry to hear that. My husband and I just recently experienced his mother’s passing. I wish you as many peaceful hours in each day as possible and I hope remembering the positive things will bring you joy. Grief can’t be rushed but it can be supported. Imagining who you are and sending positive thoughts toward that image. She is still in your being. Memories, dreams, thoughts, even your cells! It’s a different way but she is still with you. 🌺

lovespitbulls Hi! It's Sara, the one who bought the red metallic jeans. It's hard to talk about what you want to on that other one because they monitor the messages, but I did a total switch to them because I was basically ripped off by this site, because of a bundle I purchased, for over $100, that when I opened it, smelled like mold! The app wouldn't let me start a return (even though it was before the time limit) and customer service was no help.
