@ladydi966 my son is Overstock Manager for Mattress Warehouse and he obtained the pillows. It is brand new. I do recall a smell when I first got mine too and it wears off with time. If you washed the exterior cover and that only helped “a little” then you may be sensitive to the materials. Unfortunately, the pillow itself is not washable.
