covesouth Hi! How do you package your breakables? I see you have received numerous comments on how well packaged your items are. I have been concerned about selling any of my breakables because I’m not sure they would get to the buyer safely. Can you provide me any insight on how you ensure they do not break? Thank you for your help!

jdtreats @covesouth Hi! I do use a generous amount of large- bubble bubble wrap (purchased at the best price in bulk online) and nest the items in lots of lightly scrunched up unbleached newsprint from the UHaul Store. When I have multiple heavy items such as plates or bowls, I nest them together with a layer of cloth or paper between each and then wrap them together TIGHTLY with plastic wrap (Uhaul or Costco) so that they don't move around and collide.

jdtreats @covesouth Tape works less well,, but will work too.. When it's practical I double box, which reduces the amount of bubble wrap that is needed. My goal is to eliminate movement WITHIN the box and provide as much cushioning around the item as I can. [On my very first Posh sale, two porcelain balls that I thought adequately protected broke on impact with each other!]
