fashionforme2 @powerdynamic Hi there, I am sorry I canceled the order for the j crew blouse. Poshmark will not let me ship the item until I provide my social security number and address. There seems to be a new tax law and marketplace apps like poshmark and others are now requiring sellers to pay taxes on items they sell. I am closing my closet bc I do not agree with this new tax law.

fashionforme2 @powerdynamic I am not on another platform. I am very angry at poshmark for doing this as I don’t feel safe giving out my personal info out to them. Thank you for the compliment on my closet. I have been selling in Posh since 2016. They are all my own clothes and they need to go somewhere bc either I gained weight or changed my feelings about the item. I love to shop. I put my closet on vacation hold until I can speak with my accountant on what is going with the new tax laws.

fashionforme2 @powerdynamic I understand from a friend of mine that sells on other platforms that those platforms are all forcing this new tax law. Charging tax on used clothes . In New Jersey we do not pay tax on clothing, shoes , but do pay tax on accessories like purses and belts, jewelry.
