So for $16 it was worth it to sell them to you otherwise a $29 pair of glasses for me it was kind of low and they’re brand new never worn

yuansource Yes I agree because that adds up another couple of dollars. It’s amazing we’re in California— so that means even higher sales tax.It’s very competitive out there on this site because so many people are now selling but I have been very fortunate and I’ve sold a lot of things so I’m staying for now. yuansource Isn’t it the seller who pays the sales tax not the buyer? So it makes it more difficult for us to sell our things but easier for the people to buy If you happen to want another pair of those sunglasses.... Or you know somebody you want to sell those two for sure I will give them to you at $18. It was my mistake for not accepting it from you in the first place..lI can’t wear them because I need prescription glasses and I bought them and now I have to get different sunglasses

yuansource Really are on my end it shows at the bottom when they give me my payment it shows sales tax minus $1.84 minus the two dollars so it looks like it’s taken out of my profits. That’s why if you offer me $18 for the sunglasses I only get $14

ambersoedel @yuansource Yes. I pay sales tax but the tax is taken my Poshmark to pay the feds haha. You don’t keep tax for yourself.

yuansource Yes I understand what I’m saying is when I sell an item is it shows the balance due to me minus the sales tax that they take out. They pay the tax to either California or to the federal government I’m not sure which one but it did come as a surprise as well but I think from what I understand it’s the seller that pays the tax not the buyer? Maybe I’m wrong

ambersoedel @yuansource If you go click on an item “buy it now” it shows you the breakdown on what you’re paying. The buyer pays sales tax. Then the seller gets the sales tax deducted out because it goes to the feds. :)
