abbyraypole @jopalooza sorry for the late response! My hair was blonde prior to the purple. It was an ombre style so darker on top and my ends were the most blonde. So the purple is more vibrant on the ends, if I ever want my whole head to be more vibrant I’d have to bleach the rest. But I just use semi-permanent color right now and I’m fine with how it looks & it’s easy to do on my own!

abbyraypole @jopalooza so if you’d want your color to be super vibrant, you’d want lighter hair to begin with or you’d have to bleach it. But sometimes the colors still show up nicely on hair that’s not super light!

abbyraypole @jopalooza yes definitely lighten her hair first if you want the colors to be more vibrant! I will also say that the key to maintaining the color longer is to try to not wash her hair too often, dry shampoo is great to have on hand between washes. There is also a hair product brand called Celeb Luxury and they sell shampoo & conditioner that deposit color into your hair to also help maintain color longer!
