theginghamdaisy I’m so sorry your new top seems to have a “chemical” smell. My nose is hyper sensitive also, so I get that! You have my word that it was freshly laundered and hung to dry. After washing, it was sealed in the bag. I recently had to change bag brands, because what I have always used is no longer manufactured. Almost wondering if it could be some kind of a plastic smell from the sealed bag? My sincere apology, and thanks again for your purchase...Kim

has5cats @theginghamdaisy thanks for your response - the smell is detergent or house cleaning products. I switched to environmentally safe products about 10 years ago, and now I can smell when my neighbors do laundry because they use Tide, Gain, and Bounce... Most people would equate the smell to "clean," but my nose smells chemicals now...

theginghamdaisy @has5cats Then Tide is our culprit! Never use fabric softener with my stretchy clothes, but I wash with Tide. Thanks so much for letting me know it was a soapy smell and not the new storage bags! Hoping you get lots of use out of your new workout top. Thanks again and have a great week...Kim
