tbrady1001 @ayshadancer does the buyer pay for shipping?

ayshadancer @tbrady1001 Hi, Aidan! (Sorry, I misspelled your name earlier.) Yes, the buyer pays for shipping up to, I believe, 5 lbs. Beyond that weight, though, it's the seller's responsibility to pay for overages. So, say a package is 7 lbs. The seller would have to go to the app, request a new shipping label with the extra weight and pay for a couple extra dollars shipping.

ayshadancer @tbrady1001 I just looked it up and it is $3.99/lb for extra shipping, so even if the package is 5.5 lbs, you'd have to pay an extra $3.99 out of your earnings.

tbrady1001 @ayshadancer can I offer free shipping? I had a customer buy an item. Then decided to buy another item which I could ship together

ayshadancer @tbrady1001 Great question! Shipping is automatically added to a sale total by poshmark. It's not something a seller can control. The only way to offer "free" shipping is to reduce the cost of the item by the cost of shipping. Since shipping is $6.49, you'd have to choose a reduction of $6 or $7. But then items can't be shipped together if purchased separately.

tbrady1001 @ayshadancer if you Bundle does it all group to 1 shipping label

ayshadancer @tbrady1001 It throws off the scanning system and could delay getting your earnings. What I would do is cancel the sales, create a bundle (or have the buyer do it) then have them re-purchase so it all gets shipped together for one shipping price. Does that make sense? Talk to the buyer before you do anything, though, to make sure they're ok with it.

ayshadancer @tbrady1001 Yes. You'll get a notification that says something like "Your rose gold sunglasses and 1 other item have sold" and when you open the email, it will tell you exactly was items have sold and should go into one box. Then, attached to that, you'll have the shipping label for the box or envelope the two items will go in. That's why bundles are so appealing for both sides.

tbrady1001 @ayshadancer any idea why my item says "reserved"?
Sep 24Reply
ayshadancer
ayshadancer @tbrady1001 Sure! If you see a yellow "reserved" flag on a listing, it means that someone started the purchase process and the item is being held for them until they can complete the purchase. If they back out of the sale at any point before completing it, it will stay reserved for a bit (maybe 10 minutes or so) then the flag will disappear, releasing the item for someone else to purchase it. :) It's a good thing!
