ac1408 Hello, I would first like to start by saying thank you and congrats on your new purchase. Unfortunately I do not have paperwork on this piece however it does have its serial number engraved on the back and I had it evaluated when I took it in for a new battery about a month ago. That's how I was able to get an idea of the year it was made.

ac1408 The reasoning behind the low price is a long story but here is the short version. From time to time I will buy storage units setup for auction. About less then a year ago I purchased a unit that contained a jewelry box with various pieces of jewelry. Since then I have been selling various things from that box where ever I can. However I was holding on to a few pieces for a rainy day.

ac1408 Now, it's not raining for me but I have tried selling it for higher prices and I only get window shoppers. I have long ago made more then triple the money I spent on that unit and I honestly just want to get rid of it. I'm not married, don't have a significant other to give it to, and my mom doesn't care for jewelry anymore, so I really don't have much need for it and want to sell it before some type of mishap occurs.

And when I say evaluation I didn't pay for an appraisal I asked the owner of a jewelry store at the mall where I had the battery replaced about it and he feels it's authentic from everything he seen, I did not receive paperwork because I was only there for the new battery. I

ac1408 @omahagirl137 'm positive it's authentic there where many high end jewelry that came out that box no costume jewelry whatsoever. That's why I'm not too worried about selling it at the price your paying for, I made more then triple my money back.

omahagirl137 Hm, the most concerning is that it is not officiated authentic and doesnt have papers or the box and it is missing the cabochon stone on the side. Would you be willing to sell to me at a lower price because of this?

ac1408 @omahagirl137 Not all Cartiers come with that stone on the side I know that much, and what did you have in mind about a lower price. I feel that what your paying is pretty fair on my end since posh takes 20% for themselves.

ac1408 If your researching the watch keep in mind it's your later watches from early 80's. The designs differ from today's watches.

omahagirl137 As far as I can see, every site has said that's one of the symbols of cartier authenticity through the ages, they always have that gemstone solidly implanted on the turn piece. I was thinking 200-250 is more than appropriate if it is a replica instead of an authentic piece (or at least, if it cant be discerned as an authentic piece with the proper paperwork etc one must assume it is a great replica). I could ven mo you then you'd really only be getting $30-80 different?
