alexisross957 @robin_ashleyc so I think i joined and started to sell because I have so much stuff. But the reason I joined is because I collect fragrances! But they are prohibited? I’m so confused because it’s everywhere in this site? I didn’t know so I listed one and got in trouble! So...now idk lol 😆 probably stupid ? But that’s how I feel didn’t know

selvanaghaly Hey!! I see you're interested in a lot of jo malone fragrances as am I. It's challenging differentiating the authentic from the fakes. I've read a few Google articles on how to try to spot a fake but it's so hard through just photos here. I see you ask for the batch numbers, how do you use that to verify? I'd love any advice you have :(

alexisross957 @selvanaghaly Hi 👋🏻 thanks for the note! I’m a very big collector of designer fragrances. I got a few fakes in my time which made me improve my knowledge. With Jo Malone here are a few facts: the batch code on the bottom shows what batch it came from as well as the date made to tell you the shelf life left. You can go online and use a batch calculator that helps a lot! checkcosmetic.net I trust. 2.) don’t let anyone tell you testers don’t have batch numbers, they do!

alexisross957 @selvanaghaly 3.) The batch code will always match the box IF bought online through Jo Malone. Department stores use lot boxes and pack the colognes themselves so there will not be a matching number on their boxes. 4.) BIG FACT - Jo M NEVER prints oz/ml info on the bottle front or back label. Also the language printed on the bottle.

alexisross957 @selvanaghaly 5.) Inside the bottle, the tube connected to the sprayer should always be clear and the connector to the cap usually is white but should be pretty hard to see. 6.) lastly the inside of the cap! Real caps are heavy. Not hollow and light I guess is the best way to say it!

Is the batch code that number on the bottom for ex, "L32N"? Or is it those digits that are etched but not printed on the bottom of the bottle that are hard to see?

selvanaghaly @alexisross957 I'm so thankful for all your help. Could we keep in touch by email perhaps? I'm always so interested in buying fragrances online since it is sometimes a better deal. But I always settle for just buying in a Nordstrom store to avoid any mishaps but I'm not sure my bank can handle my impulsive addiction all the time 😋

I also ended up with extra Clinique black/white elixirs. And extra coco noirs both are legit but smell different! I’m waiting for a Tom ford white patchouli!! I’m like you , love scent.
