In the mid ‘80’s, when far too much lace was all the rage, I had a couture dress made for me for graduation á la Hepburn in white. It hugged my body & went straight down to the floor; high slit up the back w/ a tuxedo-like cummerbund belt in black satin. Sheer white overlay and fabulous black hat. Almost 40 years later, it is still head-turning stylish.
