@chickenparadequ✨I apologize that I can’t give you measurements and take new photos until I get home from the trip tomorrow. Will you have enough time if the wedding is the 19th? I would describe the fabric and structure of the dress as more like woven taffeta. A perfect gown for the mother of the groom. Silk Taffeta with a hot pink soft lining. It doesn’t have any real stretch to it. It was taken-in about 1/2 inch to an inch at the waist and let-out about a 1/4 inch at the hips. And I’m 5’6”

@alihenry110 Sounds perfect! I have a wide rib cage so as long as it didn’t get taken in there I think it could work. I have another dress same brand and I think I had some room to spare so this might be perfect! Thank you I think if youre willing to part with it I do have time to make any adjustments if necessary. @chickenparadequ ✨Wouldn’t that be nice if it was perfect for you. I want to add that the mermaid silhouette adds more curve to you’re figure..more so than it appears on the Model...which is also most likely a size 2 or 4.

Yes sadly Ive learned to accept how it looks on the model will not be how it looks on me 😭 I cant do column type dresses so mermaid or trumpet seems to give me a better shape and I do have my spanx ready lol! I also have the fabric that was removed from the bottom of the skirt. I was thinking of adding it to a silk stole to cover the shoulders in the church. Just let me know. :)

I finally heard from my son its a pretty grassy area so I was going to wear “sensible” shoes bc I broke my ankle last fall and the original design would hide them 😩 I dont think its gonna work.

@chickenparadequ ✨ And I disagree that sensible shoes can’t be pretty. I had to select the same for the 83 yo Grandmother of the groom. Bagley Mischka had some very comfortable, blingy options. We bought 2 pair for 2 different ensembles. So, for the record, it can still be your dress, in my opinion. I’ve posted a flat sandal example on this page for you.

Yes, it’s been a journey haha I am going to my best friend’s Aunts house to look through some of her dresses and I have a blue one I had bought last year (the wedding was postponed due to covid and I didnt really want to wear navy for a summer wedding) that may work. Truth be told, I also have a tattoo on my ankle that I was hoping to hide for pics. Maybe I can find some “sensible” shoes with ankle straps. You are awesome! Thank you!
